After the movies, we go home to see that Matt was still watching that damned show he loves. We sit down to watch the show and Edd said something that made my life turn around. He asked if we could go to the store to get more Coke.[the real question isn't this part] I agreed mostly because I wanted to spend more time with him, and because we were out of Smirnoff. We tell Matt the rules while we're gone because he has the IQ and memory of a lampshade. We get in the car and we drive and drive... and drive. I realized we passed the NOW EXITING: IPSWICH [Ipswich is a town in England. Btw, I don't live there, I live in Illinois] Sign and asked where we were going. He told me these exact words: "Tom you know, we've been friends for a really long time and I wanted to ask you-" He was cut off by a honk. He wasn't driving. he must've been practicing this speech because he knew exactly what to say. That or I can't speak for S---. He gave the guy behind us that 'sorry,' wave and kept driving. "Anyway, I wanted to ask you...If..If...Do you..." "Stop," I said, in a passive-aggressive tone, "What were you going to ask me? Say it slowly." "I..I...Wanted to ask you if you..like-" He blushed a maroon red. He then shouted really, really fast and in a scared tone, "DO YOU LIKE ME? BECAUSE I LIKE YOU!" I was silent. We were in a hotel parking lot, the car was still on. He turned the car off and looked at me. He basically whispered, "Do you?" I blushed
"Yes." and I turne away
