Chapter 17

"Hope you dont mind us sittin here we just didnt really care where we started walking and decided to sit."

"Us?"

Karkat leaned back as I leaned forward to see Sollux rummaging through his bag until he found a bottle of juice he must of brought himself. After finding it and beaming in pride of his accomplishment he began to take a swig till he notice me staring. Turning his head, bottle still in his mouth but no liquid leaving it, he raised his hand and lowered the bottle and produced a little wave as he said

"You need 2omethiing?"

I was still looking at him I realized why he said that,

"Oh im staring arent I? Im sorry Karkat said us and I didn't even know he sat here so I was just trying to see who else was here and I stared to stare and, im sorry."

Both Karkat and Sollux, who noticed I was obviously embarrassed, began to laugh at my rambling and jitteryness.

"Damn it you guys stop laughing"

I said this as I began to laugh and gave Karkat a slight shove.

"Sorry"

He said still very amused and holding a large grin on his face.

"II'm not."

Sollux replied to his apology holding a larger grin on his face then Karkat.

Before I could say more Aradia walked up to us and told us that everyone decided where to start and I jump off of my seat and waited till Karkat closed the trunk behind him. Walking up to me smiling he ask,

"You ready to start walking or do I need to carry you?"

in a joking manner. Smiling up at him I replied in the same joking manner

"I don't know. If I were to fall am I able to be sure you are to catch me?"

"You could test my reflexes out if you want. I wouldnt though."

Not knowing where we were going to start walking and not quite caring I continued walking and laughing with Karkat as we strolled a few steps behind the group. We joined in with the cluster of people when it took a turn to the left onto the wooden walk way that seemed to hover over the sand. The group had decided to start walking down the walk way that went along all the shops that sold more tropical beach stuff that wasnt like beach toys and surf boards, but still sold bathing suits and other things.

For at least two hours we walked into different stores trying on different things and goofing off the whole time. After a while, as expected, the group began to create smaller groups. Stores not being able to hold us all and people walking to the next while others werent done were some of the causes of the group branching apart but, even though we seperated we all agreed to meet up in half an hour to figure out lunch. So for half an hour I walked with the group I went with from shop to shop goofing about. Terezi, Kanaya, Rose, Dave, Sollux, Aradia, Karkat, and I began walking to the meeting point when Terezi walk up between Karcat and I and put an arm on both our shoulders and exclaimed in less then a question and more of a remark,

"How's th3 d4t3 go1n?"

"Ya how is it going?"

Rose added in.

"I think its going well,"

Karkat looking over with a blush threatening to take over his face.

"you?"

"I think so."

With that we all continued our walk to the beachy food court. Few questions arising about the date, people obviously noticing our embarrassment about the new found attention, we made it there quickly when Roxie's group of her, Jane, Dirk, and Jane arrived at the same time.

As we walkes up to converge groups the rest of the grouped arrived but they seemed to have an extra person with them. As they walked closer the person grew more clear and it became obvious that the extra person was Vriska. Tavros wheeles up and looked up at everyone with a bright look on his face saying

"uH, lOOK GUYS AT WHO WE FOUND EARLIER, vRISKA WAS AT ONE OF THE STORE WE WENT IN."

Even though she caused him pain he forgave Vriska, he held a small grudge but one barely noticeable, and theyve become pretty good friends.

"Hey guys, sorry to intrude and hope you dont mind, 8ut Tav invited me to lunch with you guys and what can I say, I love lunch."

"hOPE YOU GUYS, uH DONT MIND THAT I INVITED HER."

We all looked over and agreed that it was fine and we didnt mind at all. She was all our friend, even if there were some rough spots, and it was only a lunch so we truly didnt mind. Besides Tavros loved having all his friends around and we loved seeing him happy so we were more than compliant and began a walk to the table we chose as Roxie and Dirk went to get the cooler.

We sat a a long picnic table that could hold us all and continued the conversations from when we walked over here and shared stories of the day. As we waited for the cooler.

The day was a warm but not hot one that held a cool gentle breeze thay brought the salt water smell up to us. It was a bright and beautiful day and the only clouds in the sky didnt even threaten to send a drop down on us. We were all enjoying the day and relaxing as we waited for them to get back.

•Guys im sorry the updates haven't been on schedule. The last couple of Weeks ive been in a different state visiting family. Over the summer I feel that I may be updating without a schedule and just updating when I have something to update.•
