Sold To The Sheikh

Part Seventeen

Joseph stood facing Neil, he sighed heavily "Look Neil, its easy, sign the divorce papers and then you're free, i'll look after Avni"

Neil looked up "No, I can't, she will hate me"

Joseph frowned "If you do not listen Neil, I will be forced to get my people to kill her, you know thats the deal, if I can't have her, no-one can"

"Is that right" Avni asked, her arms crossed

Joseph turned around to look at her, his blood running cold

"Avni, im here to rescue you" he tried

Avni grabbed her gun, holding it up "Hands up, where I can see them"

Joseph went to put his hands up, but then grabbed his gun, pointing it at Avni

"We can talk about this Avni, you just put that gun down"

Neil stood up, tackling him to the ground, he punched him in the face, relentless in his attack, he threw his head down, headbutting him

His gun fell to the floor, Neil kicked it away, stood up, picked Joseph up and threw him into the wall

Avni shot at his leg, he shouted loudly, holding his knee

"You fucking" he stopped at the sound of sirens

"You called the police, on me, oh Avni, you're gonna regret that, because if im going down, you're going down with me"

He pulled open his jacket, a bomb was attached to his chest

He pressed the button, three minutes.

Avni raised her gun, pointing it at him, "You wont win this time round" she shot him in the head, his eyes wide as his head dropped to the side

Avni grabbed Neil's hand and they ran out of the house, as far away as possible, as the bomb went off, the house shattering as the flames grew

Avni looked up at the flames from the ground, her eyes teary, Neil stood up "Avni, come on the police are here"

She stood up shakily, falling into his arms as he dragged her away

Neil sat next to Avni, wrapping his blazer around her shoulders, he leant his forehead against her shoulder

"Its okay Avni, I know it hurts, I know you trusted him, but it's over now, finally time to start afresh"

Tears rolled down her cheeks, "He was like a father to me, how he ever thought I would come to love him in any other way just" she sniffed, looking away

"I dont know habibi, there are many questions we will never have the answer to, in time, you and I are gonna be happy, and this is all going to be the past"

She turned her head, kissing his cheek "bihibak" she whispered (I love you)
"Bihibek" (I love you) he replied

4 Years Later-

Avni sighed, flicking through her paperwork, she yawned

Neil pressed a kiss to her cheek "Come on Avni, you've been staring at that all day"

"I have to get it done for court" Avni hadnt expected the huge workload that came with being a social worker, but she threw herself into her work, because she loved it

"Fine, then ill make us both some coffee and we can wait till you finish"

"You don't have to" she smiled

He shrugged "I want to"

She giggled "Okay, hot chocolate for me, I wonder what your people would say about their Sheikh making his wife a hot chocolate so he doesnt have to go to bed without her" she winked

"They would say, that I love my wife a lot, that's it"

"You're such a softy" she muttered, shaking her head

"You love it" he nodded

"That I do" she assured

And just like that, they spent the night talking as she got her work done

As they got up to go to bed, she smiled as she looked back at him

"To think how different my life would have been if I wasnt sold to the Sheikh"

He laughed "I would have found you either way, I just know it, you and I , well we were meant to be"

"I never believed in fate" she spoke "But now, when I see how far we've come, to think its nearly eight years ago we met, two of which we spent seperated, we've fought a lot and its made us stronger and now finally, I am happy, you completle me Neil, for so long I thought I would forever ever be alone"

He shook his head "Impossible, because what is a Sheikh without his habibi" he mused, pressing his lips to hers

Thank you for all the love you have given me and this story! And im sorry the updates took so long, I had a lot of fun writing this story and I hope you had fun reading it.

This marks the start of the end for Avneil fanfiction, I doubt I will be adding more Avneil fiction to my list of work, so when all is completed it will be over unless I magically get another idea
