Outside, Looking In

On the outside,
Through the looking glass peering.
Tainted kaleidoscope in the gleam.
Everyone so foreign, and I'm the alien.
Always on the outside, looking in.

Getting harder and harder everyday to keep going.
An uphill battle, sick and tired of fighting.
Just wanna let a white flag grace it's ballet upon the air.
Give up, and wish upon a star I could not give a care.

Doomed from the womb,
jumped in that playground mulch,
I walked alone down these high school halls.
Will it always be as it always is?

On the verge of,
fitting in,
Just the right piece, right peg,
What ever my place.
In this science of a system, social machine.
Just a grasp away, in my reach.
Fingers are tingling,
A taunt lingering.

What's so wrong with me?
That I always find myself on the outside looking in.
