Glow of the fire on my face
Warmth in my veins
While the world's locked away
Cell holding the others captive today
Sleep a refugee like a desperado
Listen to the man
A time traveler from the decades past
Faint remnant a former teenage rebel
Now a soccer dad
Crowned the king of the suburban clan
Talk not to talk but to listen
God gave me two ears for a reason
As slow calculations
Preach theory of the classics
Of the classics of rock n' roll
Of the classics of people
So fundamental like the elemental
I'm just a traveler
A listener from a far off land
