Then another memory resurfaced in her mind, it was a memory that she didn't know. It felt unfamiliar as it played through her mind, it was as if she didn't remember it ever happening. It was dark out and she could hear the light pitter patter of the rain. The street was dark due to a power outage, only a few people were out on the streets this late at night. A tall man in a trenchcoat had just crossed the street and walked into a dark alleyway. Marie followed with a knife hidden in her pocket, the man turned and faced her. It was a dead end alleyway, the man had a shadowy almost unseeable face. The one feature Marie saw was a smile of bright white teeth smiling through the darkness. Rage ran through her veins as she took the knife out. The monsters can't get me if they're gone, she thought. The monster can't escape now, she walked slowly towards it. She chucked the knife and it hit the shadow in the shoulder, she took another one out of her back pocket as she got close enough. She went forward and stabbed it in the head, black blood spilled out of it.
