The prompt ; #WP ~8% of the human genome comes from viruses that humans got hundreds of thousands of years ago. After years of studying the genome, you realize this part of the genome was actually encoded messages from an alien race. They figured it would be the only way to store a message that wouldn't be discovered until the species was sufficiently advanced.

My attempt: The message was
"The End is not the End"
This led to another research for many more centuries till they discovered the rest of it which was
" Transforming in to lesser being helps you to travel through the quantum of time to reach your true homeland"
More research on this until the human species came to conclusion that
Dying and decomposing of the bodies releases a mist that still carries the same DNA and that mist travels and dissolves in to the gases of space.
Hence going back to the original source of their existence.
