The Story Of Y/N Pt 1

Your heart was racing. He was in trouble. He needed your help, but you were too scared. You heard him calling for you. "Please Y/N, You can do it, believe in you."

Y/N's POV:

On the way to the Monastery, I kept thinking about what had just happened in the last 17 hours. First, was hiding in my closet, next I saved a kid from getting killed by Malyri, then I got told that my parents were weak and were stupid to have asked the WarLord for mercy, and insulted that I was just like them, and then Lloyd nearly got himself killed trying to protect me, finally, I melted a 10 foot metal WarLord with my bare hands. To add to that, I've now joined The Ninja's as the Grey Ninja, power, or element in Master Wu's words, of Emotion. 

The team and I are now on our way to the Monastery to get trained up. Ever since I said I'd join their team, I've felt different in a way, like I was changing, or rather coming out of my shell. I know I've always, always been shy and afraid of everything, but now I feel like I'm a whole new person, but, I'm still terrified. 

When I was looking out into thin air, Lloyd come up to me and asked "Hey Y/N, are you feeling alright?" I turned and looked at him saying, "Yeah, I-I'm fine, just fine." I knew he wasn't going to believe me as he said back (as if he could read my mind), "Are you sure? You don't look fine. Your eyes are- um, glowing again, and you look like you're about to faint." I knew he was worried about me but I couldn't stop the feeling that he wanted me to tell him something.

Lloyd's POV:

When I saw the worried look in Y/N's face, I couldn't help but wonder, what really happened to her and how did she get her powers. Then she answered my question. "I'm fine, really, it's just that...." She went silent. "Just what?" I said back, trying not to tell myself that she wouldn't melt me for asking her this.

To my surprise, and for my sake, she didn't melt me, but she whispered to me, "Can I tell you something? In private?" I was surprised she even talked, I was just about to ask why but I stopped myself. I whispered back, "Sure, but there aren't really a lot of spear rooms on this ship, but we'll find somewhere." She blushed a bit a nodded.

As we were walking to the galley (a kitchen in a ship) She said to me, "Please don't tell anyone about this ok? Whatever I tell you, you must keep a secret." I saw her worried face. It was pale again. Her eyes had started glowing yellow. This time she really look as if she actually was about to faint. "Ok" I said, "I promise." Then she started to speak.

Y/N'S POV:

When I saw the trust in Lloyd's emerald eyes, I didn't feel scared anymore. So, I started to tell him everything. "It all started when I was 8. My parents weren't what you would call strong or strict, in fact, they wouldn't hurt a fly, but something kept telling me that they were too kind-hearted." 

"Sounds like someone I know" Lloyd said, looking down at his feet. I chuckled a bit. 

"Anyway, when Malyri came to our village, Hongcun, back in China, he killed every single person in the village. When he found my parents, they told him they would work with him, become one of his followers if he speared their lives, including mine. But, it turned out that Malyri only wanted me because of my powers, but my parents told him to take them and not me. They were ready to give up their lives just to save mine."

Lloyd then said, "Your parents sound strong to me, I know my parents would not have done that for me. Now I know where all your confidence comes from." I blushed a bit. No one has ever called me confident.

"Then, Malyri started to threaten my parents by telling them if they didn't hand over their daughter, all of us would be dead. My mum started to beg Malyri for mercy, my dad attempted to convince Malyri to take them as their slaves, but when the WarLord heard mum beg for mercy again, there was this loud bang and, um......"

Lloyd's POV:

Y/N went silent. I took her hand and said to her, "It's ok, you can tell me, you can trust me." She started to tear up but then, looked up and making eye contact with me said through tears, "M- M-Malyri killed my parents. H-he v-vaporized them." I couldn't believe what Y/N had just said. 

That stupid son of a meat head (Sorry guys, I'm trying really hard not to swear) had vaporized the parents of a young girl that fears herself. What the hell? I pulled her in and hugged her tightly as she cried into my shoulder. Then as we pulled away, I truthfully said to her, "It's alright now, Malyri is gone. Your save with us. I won't let anyone, anyone touch you. I promise."

And with that, Y/N smiled and blushed, making me blush. Then she whispered, "Thank you Lloyd." I whispered back, "Anytime." I looked at Y/N. Man, I thought to myself. After all she's been through she's still holding on. If only I could help her come out of her shell a bit more.
