I wish I can, I wish I might... Be able to wish on a star tonight. Star so beautiful and bright.
If only I can... Wish that I'd be able to say... Say how Happy I am, But the opposite is what I'm feeling today.
I wish I can though... Be as happy as you. But all I am now is bluer than blue, For it wasn't I, that's holding your hands, Nor the one that has your heart... For I am not the love of your life!
I wish I can... Say that I'm happy that you're merry, Living your life with somebody that wasn't me.
I wish I am, As strong as I can be, I wish I can... Say that even if I'm hurting and my heart is breaking, That I'm happy that you're happy, Even though I'm hurting because it wasn't me.
Sadly though, I haven't got the courage to say so. I don't even have the strength to say anything, The only thing I can do is to write what I'm feeling... What my heart's screaming inside, Even as my head goes from side to side, Urging me not to do anything, I can't refuse my hands as it does what I shouldn't be doing, It obeys only though what my brain right now is thinking.
