Sometimes I wonder, Why do feelings linger? At times I think... whenever I blink, Will these feelings disappear?
Like a mirage on a desert, Does it only appear on scorching heat?
Will memories of past— last or just fade away and show me that even the pain that comes along with it wouldn't remain, or will it be a reality that slaps my face and wakes me up from a sweet dream? Perhaps all of these are fragments of nightmares that keeps me fast asleep till death comes knocking on my door, snatching even the air that my lungs holds dear till my breath is no more?
I wonder... And wonder and my mind it wanders... across the waters— shallow and deep, And mountain tops that's so steep.
To and fro it'll go, Like so...
Until all's lost and the word demise on this world is what I have finally found and only then, will my heart finds its peace and my soul will finally be at ease.
