I'm a desert and you're my rain;
Longing for you are my dried sands— dehydrated ever since.

To you I called out;
Like a frog wanting rain,
I croaked out your name.

My heart seeks your presence,
yet it was me that was far away.

I'm a desert, you're my rain;
Drench my sands with your words our Living Water— if you'll let me have it,
even under this scorching heat, emptiness— no longer will I feel it.

My love, my God;
I'm a desert.
Your words are my rain.
Please pour your words down,
As I'm feeling drained.
Fill our empty souls with your love, for only in you we'll feel alive.
