“You are worth more than any penny in your daddy’s bank account JJ.” He taunted me with my family’s nickname for me. I lunged at him, but was yanked back against someone.
“Coward!” I yelled. “Let me go! Tommy!” I yelled. Cole kicked me in the stomach and I groaned, dropping to my knees.
“Tommy can’t hep you now princess. In fact, he just made some money off of you.” My eyes snapped up to see Tommy rifling through cash.
“How could you?” I cried out. “I’m a person Tommy, you can’t just sell me off to the highest bidder!” He menacingly smiled.
“Do you know why I dated you Jessica?” He crouched down to my level. “I knew your family had money. So I used you for two years, pretending to love you. I couldn’t get either of your sisters; they were too old for me. So I settled for you.” He paused, letting me take in his harsh words.
“You were so desperate to be loved and noticed, that you latched on to me. That was fine, because there was finally someone I could use to get at the Richardson family fortune in a few years.” My eyes were wide as he grinned evilly at me.
“These two years, have all been a lie?” I whispered.
“The second you told me you had a photographic memory, I was elated. I knew you’d be useful some day. Because the truth is Jessica, you’re boring. Your siblings outshine you in everything, no one cares about you. No one knows you exist, and the only thing you bring to the table is that memory of yours. Other than that, you’re just a useless little rich girl.” My eyes welled up with tears as I struggled against the arms that held me.
“That’s not true.” I pleaded. “Tommy that can’t be true.” He kicked me in the ribs, as I rolled over and groaned.
“Good luck boys. She won’t be too much trouble, she’s quiet. Oh, and make sure to give her lots and lots of turkey." My eyes widened as I shook my head. I was allergic to turkey, he knew that.
“That was harsh.” Cole murmured. The man holding me slowly pulled me up. Without a second thought, I head butted him, and sprinted off as he grabbed his head.
“STOP HER!” I heard Cole yell. I ran through the park, screaming my lungs out.
“HELP! MY NAME IS JESSICA RICHARDSON; MY PARENTS ARE KEITH AND AMANDA RICHARDSON. I LIVE AT 72891 WOODBURN DRIVE!” I yelled, running towards the city roads. I was sure people could hear me now.
“HELP! I’M BEING KID-“ I never got to finish my sentence as I was tackled to the ground. I turned over to be greeted by the harsh eyes of Cole as he stared me down.
“Scream again, I dare you.” He warned me, fury flashing in his eyes. He backhanded me, and I groaned in pain. Cole placed his hands on my head, and lifted it slowly, locking his eyes with mine.
“You’re going to be trouble, I can already tell. Welcome to hell, princess.” With that, he slammed my head against the concrete twice, making me dizzy. I groaned in agony as he picked me up, and I flopped over.
“Careful, you have to support her neck.” I heard another man say. I was passed over to a pair of gentler arms, who cradled me, rocking me back and forth. Slowly, my vision became clear again, though I was still dizzy.
“She’s only fifteen, Cole, and she’s scared. Just take it easy on her, she’s been hurt enough by you and that Tommy boy.” The man said with a kind voice. I let my eyes wander to Cole who was frowning.
“Watch it Jason, don’t tell me what to do. Now let’s get her to the van, I don’t need the cops after us.” Weakly, I began to struggle, until someone put their hand over my mouth and nose.
