There was no point.

It was over. Even though I knew there was no escape, my feet kept moving, and my heart kept rising to the rate of hummingbirds. My bare feet felt numb under the cold white hard floor, and my hospital gown was covered in blood splatter. Every five seconds I looked over my shoulder as my breaths echoed in my mind like a loud drum banging against my skull. I knew it was coming. I know he was coming. I knew it was over.

Grasping the blanket tighter and bringing it closer to my eyes in case I would need to hide behind it, I kept staring. I couldn't take my eyes away even if I wanted to and without thinking about it, I held my breath as I waited.

I wanted to scream at her. Tell her how much of a fucking idiot she was. Tell her to go faster, hide, do something to prevent her from falling into the deep bottomless hole called fate. Did I do that? No. I was too busy staring and taking another handful of popcorn to stuff in my face.

The faint sound of a slow chuckle made me stop in my tracks, to try and navigate where the music was from. It made fear struck me. Harder than I thought because my ability to walk, talk or even breath stopped. All I could do was wait. The chuckle struck again, this time so loud she felt like she could feel the vibrations in the laugh. A silent tear slipped down her cheek and her chin until it dropped down in the floor. It all went quiet.

I waited quietly, bringing the blanket closer and ready to hide behind. I waited for something to-

"Boo" Someone whispered in my ear beside me making me shriek and jump so bad that the bowl of popcorn once in my lap was now flying across the room and the blanket to fly over my face. In a second there was a scream from the movie but was quickly overpowered by the sound of booming laughter.

I yanked the blanket down letting my glare reach the idiots laughing beside me, especially my jerk of a brother, Noah that had his iPhone up, so it covered half his face letting only his brown hair and jawline to be seen. The possibility that he's filming is big. Like a 100 percent chance.

"What the fuck, Noah!" I screamed hitting the eighteen-year-old on the shoulder as hard as I could which only preceded in my hand aching and Noah to laugh even more.

"Never gets old" Noah laughed slapping his knee as he brought down his phone down. So I could see that he was on snapchat. What a surprise. Notice my sarcasm. He's on the app more than enough and uploads pictures and videos to his story for all his followers to see. All his 80 000 followers. Yep, and it's because of his growing youtube channel with soon one million subscribers that he has the number of people following him on snapchat. His interest started early because mom always loved making home videos and taking pictures of us. Like the really cheesy ones where we would have to hold hand in length order or make a sibling sandwich with us laying on top of each other. Can't say none of us really liked doing it and the pictures are hanging in the living room proudly for us to be reminded every day. Even though we never like doing that, we all loved making videos. Especially Noah. We would have a show where we would perform in our living room. Noah was the host and make dad film it and mom would be the judge who always ended with all of us winning and my brothers whining that there needed to be a winner and for mom to say "You were all equally good so it's a tie. All of you win."

As I looked across the room, I noticed that the popcorn had gone everywhere. Luke that was sitting on one of the beige lovesacs was picking out popcorn from his dirty blonde hair with a huge grin. Because of our dirty blonde hair and eye color, Luke and I have on multiple occasions been misunderstood as twins even though he's two years older at 17. Even though I have more blue eyes and him green, people still assume.

"That. Was. Awesome! It was as if a firework of popcorn set off" Luke laughed. " A popcorn firework. Hey, I wonder what would happen if you put kennels in a firework and set it off. What if they popped in the sky! Holy cheez balls that would be cool" Luke continued rambling on. Luke's always been... unique. In a good way. He's very childish and is big for joking around, always tries to stay away from arguments and is secretly a nerd. He says just because he's good in school and love to read and have a thing for astronomy, he's not a nerd, but we like to tease him about it and tell him otherwise which he just pouts to answer.
