This is another request! I have two more to finish (I keep getting new ones lmao).
This is a Castiel x Reader.

THIS CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR SEASON 13.

Prompt: You return to Heaven with Castiel to resolve the conflict up there, but things don't go as planned.

Being an angel wasn't exactly what you expected.

You were raised to be soldier and forced to do cruel deeds to others for your own people's needs. You've seen places rise and fall and watched the humans you've learned to love, die, and start new generations. The years have been long, and during them you noticed many changes; few in society and few in yourself. Although you deeply appreciated the powers you learned to use growing up, it still never felt like these abilities were being used properly. That is, until you encountered another angel who felt the same way.

It seemed like forever ago when you met the young, disobedient Castiel (who is now the love of your life). You watched him rebel against his father and his siblings. All for humanity. All for the people that walk the Earth. At first, you thought he was crazy. Why would anyone want to start a new life with those inconsiderate creatures?

"Doesn't it bother you that there's a place of freedom just within your reach? There's a whole world beneath us where we can do as we please. We can help people; we can heal them. Isn't that what you've always dreamed about?" Castiel would say to you. You tried to ignore his persuasive arguments, but maybe he did have a point. It wasn't long before you aided him on his journey. It was all worth it in the end because now, you were on Earth with him. You even got the chance to befriend the Winchesters, and the new addition to the family; Jack.

You had taken a liking to Jack. In fact, you cared for him very much and you connected with him. Jack had motivation to do good for the world, as did you when you accepted Castiel's views. Jack's situation was difficult though. There is still a lack of trust between him and the elder Winchester. Considering that Jack's species are known to be extremely powerful and destructive, you couldn't really blame Dean.

From what Castiel has informed you, Lucifer was back in Heaven. There wasn't exactly anyone ruling it at the moment, and it's not like Lucifer could take on the ruler of Hell; Asmodeus. Lucifer was still recovering. He's weak. You couldn't even bare to imagine what was going on up there right now. It must be havoc. Although Castiel wasn't the most popular angel at the moment, he still felt obligated to go and help. Why wouldn't he?

"I suggest that we return to Heaven and help remove Lucifer from the throne." Castiel advised, looking towards you.

You, Castiel, and the Winchesters sat at the bunker's oddly shaped table. While tracing the borders of the rugged pieces of land on top of the designed tabletop, you replied to the angel. "What do you propose we do? We can't go up there without a plan. Who knows what could happen."

"Cas, Buddy, if you need help with this, we're here." Dean offered.

"No, I can't ask you to do that. It's not your problem to fix." Castiel concluded.

"Besides, you guys should watch Jack. If something bad happens to us up there they might come here for him." You added. Sam and Dean both nodded. There were many different ways they could help.

"Okay, so what's exactly going on upstairs?" Sam asked. He narrowed his brows, ready to listen.

"Lucifer is getting stronger. He's up there attempting to rule Heaven. Each second that passes he's gaining more strength and power. I can't let him destroy what we worked so hard to prefect." Castiel explained.
