Everything Is Fine

A/N: here's the Drabble I was talking about (the pic above is the one I used ;) lol)

Ice cold water trickled down Dean's face, waking him up and clearing his mind from the previous hours. He took a deep breath, calming himself.

"Everything is fine.." he said. He couldn't even look himself in the eyes. He knew what the consequences of his actions were, but he wasn't ready to face them yet. He fucked up, and he was well aware of it.

"Sammy is okay...you're okay..e-everything...is fine..." his hands clenched the old bathroom sink until his knuckles were white. His body ached and his head was pounding. How could he let this happen? He had one job, and he screwed it up. Dean went over the situation again and again in his head, trying to figure out how he could've fixed it. He and his younger brother made it out of there alive, that's all Dean cared about.

Dean licked his lips, still tasting the blood he wore earlier. Tomorrow is a new day, Dean reminded himself. He would have to confront Sam soon enough.
