Their story isn't really
all that interesting.
Maybe it will be, one day,
but for now they're just
stuck in the beginning,
the awkward days before
everything begins to make sense.
Stolen laughter and
lingering smiles,
fleeting moments held
caught in the gaze of
someone they don't
quite know yet.
Happiness, butterflies,
anxiety and fear,
good and bad tangled together
with no way to unravel them.
Because maybe they're
living in a love story,
or one with a happy ending,
and maybe
they're not.
