-Chapter 9-

"Cole moved back."

What? Cole moved back.

"When," I choke out.

"Yesterday. I just got a text from Sam." I get up and walk to my window.

Cole, my first crush. I only talked to him when he talked to me first. He was my very first love. Well I say love, but I could be wrong.

"Regan?" She asked softly, knowing I could explode any minutes.

"Just go. I need some time to think," I said sighing.

She gets up and walks to my door, but turns around and looks at me, "Regan please just think about what you do."

I can't believe Cole moved back.

My thoughts are interrupted when my phone goes off.

"Unknown number"

Who could have gotten my number?

"Hello?"

"Regan?" My heart stop and I freeze.

"Cole?"

"Hey. I don't know if you knew, but I moved back and I was wondering if you wanted to hang out tonight?"

"Um, I mean, sure I have nothing else to do."

Great now he's gonna think you're a loser.

"Okay, I'll pick you up around 7:00?"

"Yeah that's fine."

"Okay. You still live in the same house?"

"Yeah"

"Okay see you then."

"Okay," I hang up and check the time, 5:54.

Okay Regan you have little over an hour to get ready. I can't believe you just got asked out by Cole.

Cole was this Senior who had math with me. I never really talked to him, but when I did we always flirted.

I'm so nervous, but I have to go. I can't just cancel now. 

I get up and go take a shower.

I'm done getting ready and it's only 6:45.

Well you have sometime, you might as well watch some YouTube. I log onto my account and see a new sky wars on Tofuug- I mean Joe's channel with Poke.

I click on the video and Poke dies fast so he is just helping Joe out.

"So dude when have you been. It's been what, two days with no videos?"

"Yeah sorry man. I was seeing the new town with a friend."

"Aww you already made a new friend."

"Shut up man."

"So what's is your friends name?"

"Um well I can tell you she's a YouTuber."

"Oh so it's a girl?"

"Yes"

"How do you get a girl, but I don't?"

"See Poke, I have great skills with the ladies." Poke just laughs.

I hear a car honk outside my window. I walk downstairs and my sister is at the door.

"Who is here?"

"Cole. He asked to hang out so I said yes."

"Okay"

I walk outside and as Cole is walking towards me I hear a door open. I turn around and look at my door, but it was close then I see Joe standing in his driveway.

"Regan?"

"Hey," I look down.

This is so awkward!

"Uh, hey. Are you going out somewhere."

"Yeah"

I turn to see Cole standing in front of me and I smile.

"Hey Regan. Ready to go?"

"Um yeah. Can you wait in the car?"

He turns and looks at Joe, "Yeah sure."

He walks back to the car and I walk to Joe.

"Who is that?" I can see the hurt in his eyes.

"Um that's Cole."

"He is..."

"Just a friend who moved back home," I finish his sentence.

"Oh"

"Yeah"

"Well, I guess have fun tonight."

"Thanks," I walk away felling really bad for him.

The drive to Cole's house was short and quiet. We walk inside and see his younger brother Adam sitting on the couch watching TV.

"Adam, you remember Regan right?"

"Yeah hi," he's too busy watching his show and pays us no attention.

"We'll be in my room. Don't bother us okay?"

"Yeah sure whatever."

We walk to Cole's room and I sit on the edge of the bed. Cole lays down next to me with his feet hanging off and touching the floor.

"So..," I say awkwardly.

"Wanna watch a movie."

"Sure. What movie?"

"Well we just bought Hunger Games."

"Oh cool, I love that movie."

"Me too."
