"What are we doing?"

"We're looking at the stars, duh."

"Oh, well excuse me," I say sarcastically and throw my hands up.

"You're excused," he chuckles. We lay in silence for awhile and I feel Joe grab my hand.

"I used to do this a lot at my old town with friends, but mostly by myself."

"Really?"

"Yeah it helps me calm down."

"How?"

"Well I think about all the things I stress about and when I compare it to all the stars in space, it just makes them seem so much smaller."

I look over at him, but he doesn't notice. He looks really cute right now. His head turns and we are face to face.

"What do you stress Regan?"

"Uh, well normal teenage things, what I'm going to do after high school, I need to get a car, I need to get a jo-"

"No not stuff like that. What are things you stress about, not what society makes you stress about."

"Well, I worry about myself."

"Like what?"

"Like, myself," I sign, "I've gone through a lot in life. It's all kinda bursting out and it's a lot to handle."

"What happened?"

"It's a long story," I sigh again and mumble, "like a nine year old story."

"What?" He lucky didn't hear me.

"It's complicated. What about you? What do you stress about?

"What do you mean?" He looks back up at the night sky.

"Well you said you stress about stuff and looking at the stars helps. I was wondering what you stress about?"

"I stress about myself too," he lets go of my hand.

"Why?"

"I'll tell if you tell," I look over at him and he's smiling.

No.

"This helps a lot," I say and look at the stars. I start counting the stars and feel myself get sleepy.

"Regan you should probably go home. You still have to edit your video."

"Nah, it's fine. My viewers can go a day without a video," I laugh and he chuckles softly. He pulls me into him and we're laying there silence.

As I'm fighting off sleep I hear him mumble my name, "What?" I look up at him.

"I said thank you."

"For what?"

"Coming out here with me," he looks down at me. I get nervous and look away.

I yawn, "You're welcome." I drift in and out of sleep, trying to stay awake, but eventually sleep wins.

-

I woke up and felt around my bed for my phone.

Hm it's not there. Did I unplug it last night? Wait, I don't remember anything from last night.

I sit up in my bed, but when I look where my desk should be, it's not there. It's replaced by a window and next to it are computers. I start to panic.
