1 WEEK LATER

I love my new best friend! Me and Dale have become really close. We have most lessons together, which is good. School is alright but not much drama going on except my brother getting into 1 or 2 fights but let’s not go into that.

I know a lot of people but Dale is the closest I have got the rest are just people you casually say ‘hi’ or ‘how have you been?’. Dale and my brother is the funniest thing going! Dale is flirting with him, I am pissing my pants and my brother is trying to run out the room! Ha-ha.

“Lily! Hello? HAVE YOU EVEN BEEN LISTENING?!” bellowed Dale causing me to jump and come out my daydream.

“What? Yeah, I have been listening” I said with a hopeful smile.

“Go on then, what have I been saying?” Dale said with a smirk on his face.

“Urmm….science class?”

I look at Dale to see him shaking his head. “Nope, not even close. It doesn’t matter anyway, so do you know what you are wearing for the party Saturday?” he asked.

Oh yeah, Conner has arranged a party at our house while dad is working away for 2 days. “No, I don’t. Come shopping with me tonight?” I asked without thinking.

“Of course I will, I was waiting for you to ask. I love to go shopping; no one ever really comes with me! Apparently I take too long...” He stared rambling on.

****************IN TOWN**************

I regret asking Dale too come!

“Dale can we please go now!!” I shouted, so far the longest we have spent in one shop is 1 ½ hours but in every other shop it has been 1 hour. I don’t know what he is looking for we both got our outfits ages ago. I got a beautiful dress and he got a white polo shirt and some chinos.

“Hang on a second” He chirped. He came out 5 minutes later.

“Right, done. We can go now.” He said with a satisfied smile. I gave him a fake/sarcy one back.

“Hey, Hey don’t be nasty now” He said cheekily.

“3...” He started running. “2...1” I said and I started running after him. After our little run about and me having him pinned on the floor. He couldn’t stop complaining about that I had got his clothes dirty and I found out that he had also been shopping for party decorations. Thank God he remembered them!

Conner would not be happy.

We got on the bus and went home. “Bye!” I shouted out the bus to Dale. He waved back.

I got home chucked my bags on my bed including my school one and took a nice long bath.

When I got out I sorted out my bags, had a quick tea and went to bed.
