When Manik parked the car smoothly in the parking lot of their building. Nandini hurriedly walked out of the car ready to escape without any further conversation but soon halted on her way when Manik called her.

"Help me"... He was unbuckling the seat belt form baby's small frame.

Nandini didn't said anything but silently walked up to him.

"Bring the baby to the apartment while I will carry these bags"... He pointed at the endless shopping bags which were lying inside back boot.

"Okay..."... Nandini carried the baby in her arms after adjusting her bag again. Then she would look at baby who was still holding Manik's cellphone.

She walked towards the lift.. her feet were already sore cause of shoe bite which made her feet bruise repeatedly.

Manik noticed her walking in weird way but choose to ignore as he followed her behind holding those bags.

Soon both them were on their floor elevator opening with a ding sound.

Nandini hesitated to walk further since she didn't knew where to go..to her's or to his's apartment.

"Follow me".... He said softly punching in his password.

Walking inside Nandini hurriedly placed the baby on the couch and headed straight towards the exit.

"Wait....why are acting so weird today?"... Manik who was gulping water couldn't help but ask.

He didn't knew her much that's true but he knew at least that she was so stubborn and arrogant and not a girl who remains too quite.

"What weird...no I am all good...why would you say so?"... She turned to look at him.

Manik not being satisfied by her answer walked towards her but still maintaining a reasonable gap.

"Then why are you being so quite and obedient today like usually you would pass mean comments on me"... He pointed at himself while talking.

Nandini didn't knew what to say..she herself didn't know why she was acting like a dump around him.

"Well you are wrong Mr...I am too tired to get involved in any of your drama now and plus I don't want to waste my energy by talking to you".... She looked at him directly at his eyes while letting out these words.

Manik chuckled at her response "now you are back"

"So if you are done can I go to my house".... She sounded purely annoyed.

"umm...no"

"What?"

"I mean I was planning to cook today so if you want you could join us for a dinner".... He said pointing at him and then at baby boy.

Nandini's brows twitched"you can cook?"

"Yes..and I am really good at it"...Manik's head was raised high while he let out those words.

"Well its hard to believe"... Nandini scoffed.

"Try then believe"...

"Fine..I will come back after getting fresh.." She could see a spark in his eyes when she accepted his dinner invite and honestly she wanted food and when life is giving you free food then why not be more generous and grab it.

Okay...don't be late"... He walked her up to the exit.

Manik was about to closed when Nandini's stopped him.

"What about that day when I told you to prepare milk for baby and that time you said you didn't know how to make that".... Nandini spoke through the gate.

"Cause I didn't know and I've never felt need of doing that until now"... His voice was tensed now reminding him of his responsibility.

"Oh..okay...I will be going now"... And this time she really walked off to her door.
