Luke Hemmings- CONTAINS MATURE CONTENT

"You look hot, sweetheart!" Liz commented as she joined me in the shade. I don't know wether she meant that literally or if she was complimenting me, so I just smiled. Liz is very goofy and fun-loving. She is the mother every girl wants to have by her side when the day is dark and gloomy. Luke is lucky to have a parent like her. I loved her to death, but sometimes she was so energetic and free and different from my personality that it's hard to have a conversation with her. Luckily, Ashton and Michael return soon with Luke at their side. Liz squeals in excitement to see her son and races over to him. "I am so proud of you, Luke!" She wraps her arms around his waist and shakes him in a Mama Bear hug. He laughs and bends to kiss her cheek. His father is beaming with pride as he gives Luke a manly handshake before pulling him in for a hug. Although I don't see Andrew often, I find it easier to be around him than Liz. He doesn't say much, which makes me feel more accepted and comfortable.

Michael and the rest of the boys jump ontop of Luke like a pack of puppies as they cheer for him. I laugh at the rowdy boys and standby for my hug.

Luke breaks through the rumble to find his way towards me. I smile and reach for his face. He towers over me, my fingers barely reach him enough to graze his jaw. "Hey there, graduate." I laugh as he wraps his arms around my waist. He bends down for a kiss. Our lips touch and I feel like a giddy school girl listening to their cover of Teenage Dirtbag and falling in love with Luke's melodic voice all over again, only this time is more sensational. Luke lifts me up into the air, not breaking our kiss, making me feel weightless, beautiful, and infinite. As he puts me back down I hold his hands and gaze into his eyes.

"Awwwwwww!!" The crowd around us coos in unison, making me blush. I retreat into Luke's stomach. I feel his body quake from his chuckle. I peek out from him and see Liz staring at us all starry eyed again. She's done it more often than usual on this visit than my previous ones. I think she's just more emotional now because she's realizing her baby boy is grown. I watch her whisper something to Andrew and he nods in agreement, with a smile on his face.

The group walks to the cars where we confirm our plans to meet at a restaurant in an hour for Luke's graduation dinner. Liz and Andrew drove separately. Mikey, Ash, Calum, Luke & I rode together. We piled into Michael's black van and drove over to the boy's apartment so Luke could change into something more comfortable. "Luke!" Michael called from the driver's seat. Luke had been playing a colorful game on his phone since we got into the car. He didn't say much, which was normal for him, but I noticed, and I think the boys did too, that he seemed off... It was like his mind was in a different place. "Luke!" Michael called again, this time a bit louder.

Luke jumped and dropped his phone in my lap. "Holy fucking-" he breathed. "Michael!" He hissed. Michael laughed it off. It was always funny to see Luke agitated, he was too awkward to really be taken seriously. Luke smiled at his bandmate and ran a hand through his hair.

"No need to get your tank top in a twist, Lucas! I was just asking if you want me to stop and pick up the package after I drop you guys off." I felt Luke's muscles tense beside me. Ashton and Calum stopped what they were doing in the backrow and stared at Michael, annoyed. Calum scoffed. "Or.... Maybe not the time to talk, yeah? Okay. Yup. That's a no go. A definite no go." Michael said to himself and turned up the radio. We all sat in an uncomfortable silence for the remainder of the ride as the music filled the car. I took Luke's hand in mine and gave it a gentle squeeze. He took his attention away from the window for a moment to look at me. I wanted to ask him what was that all about and why was that package such a big deal and why did everyone seem to know about the package when I didn't, but instead I mouthed "Are you okay?". He bit his lip for a moment as if he was contemplating sharing some happier memory, then gave me his sweet, crooked grin, nodding. I smiled and kissed his hand, although I had a feeling that deep down something was going on with him.
