Craig didn't remember going to sleep. That didn't stop him from waking up in his bed though. The first thing he did was check his phone to see if he got any updates about his mother. At first he got excited because he noticed he received a text message but it ended up being from an unkown number. When Craig checked it, it was only a picture of his house from the inside. Craig's blood went cold. Who could send such a thing? And why? To put his mind at ease Craig told himself that it was jus what of the guys pulling a prank on him. Even though he logically knew none of his friends would send such a thing.

Craig did technically have school today so he figured he would just get ready and pretend like nothing was wrong. For a while this worked, he was able to brush his teeth and even eat breakfast with nothing seemingly out of the ordinary. Craig started become more confident as time went on that he was being stupid and nothing was wrong. It was only when he was sure that he was fine that suddenly he wasn't.

He was just about to leave for the day and be safe when he heard a door open behind him. He was going to just brush it off as his imagination but then he started hearing footsteps descend the stairs. So Craig had no choice but to turn around and face whoever the hell had been stalking him, and just as he expected, it was his dad. He was drunk, that much was obvious, and he looked like he hadn't slept it days. Maybe he hadn't, his brain helpfully added.

"What do you want?" Craig said, speaking first to try to intimidate him.

"I wanted to talk to my wife, not a stuck-up brat like you."

Craig's nostrils flared, "well because of you, I'm all your getting."

His dad wobbles as he started walking the rest of the way down the staircase. "Tell me where the bitch is."

Craig stared him down unwavering, "I don't know about any bitch, sorry."

Then he was in front of Craig and he went to swing, but in his heavily intoxicate state h missed. Craig just smirked at him as he said, "your just pitiful, I don't know what my mom ever saw in you."

His dad's face was red with anger, "don't disrespect your father."

Craig could almost laugh at his sudden use of pretending to be his dead. "We both know you lost the right to call yourself my dad and my respect a long time ago."

He tried to take another swing but Craig easily dodged it. Craig thought about punhing him, but decided not to give him the satisfaction. "You need to leave."

His das just stopped his foot like a child, "this is my house."

"Not anymore," Craig said while shoving his dad out of the house. Then before he could try to come back in he bolted the door and went about changing the key-pad code. It was an annoying process but definitely worth it.

After everything was said and done Craig just took a sigh of relief. If this was just th beginning of the day then Craig didn't want to know what lay ahead of him.
