Okay, short story first.

I started watching the Olympics last night, and my dad was teasing me with Yuri On Ice jokes while the figure skating division was on.

He's very cruel. And the bad part is that he even knows that I've been watching figure skating LONG before I discovered YOI! He thinks I'm only watching it for the anime addict I am. And I kept thinking he was wrong.

Until all of that changed when a pair from Japan took to the ice.

THEY FUCKING SKATED

TO YURI'S FUCKING FREE SKATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTE

I freaked out. And screamed out loud. And fell on my bed. And cried for how beautiful they performed, how much it hurt when I fell, AND for how my own father was right.

LOOK!!!!!!!!!!! IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL, THE WAY THEY SKATED!!!!!!!!!!

Afterward, I gave my sincere apologies to my father. I should have listened to him. I should have believed him. But I was a fool, and did not. I've failed everyone I know.
