What if a certain Slytherin asked a certain Gryffindor to the Yule Ball instead of Victor Krum?

Hermione watched as Harry and Ron again got their heads shoved down by Professor Snape. As he walked away Ron turned to her.

"Well Hermione you're girl"

"Oh well spotted" she said.

"Wanna dance?" He said just as he and Harry were hit with a book by Professor Snape. "It's one thing for a bloke to show up alone but for a girl it's just sad."

"I won't be going alone because believe it or not someone's asked me." She said before getting up and heading over to Professor Snape to give him her notebook. He took it before she turned to go back to them. "And I said yes" She said before storming off.

Hermione stormed off to the room of requirement and threw herself down on the couch. Those idiots have no clue that someone finds her attractive. She remembered how a certain Slytherin asked her out

Flashback to a week and a half ago

Hermione was watching girls follow Victor Krum and wondered what a guy like that wants in a woman. To busy in her thoughts that she didn't notice that Harry and Ron had left or that a few minutes later a body sat down next to her. She turned to where Harry was sitting a minute ago and gasped when she saw Malfoy sitting in his place. She looked on the other side of her to see that Ron had left too.

"Malfoy, what are you doing here?" She asked.

"I came to see you" he said.

"And what would a Malfoy want with someone he thinks is a Mud-" she said but he stopped her.

"Please don't say that word, I haven't used that word since last year." He said making Hermione go over in her head if that was true.

"Even so, I don't think your father would like it if you were seen with me." She said standing up to leave. Malfoy  grabbed her arm and pulled her back down on the bench.

"I don't care what my father thinks anymore. If I want to be seen with you it's none of his bloody business." He said. Hermione stared at him for a second before clearing her throat.

"What do you want Malfoy?" She asked.

"You, I want you" he said making Hermione's eyes widened.

"W-What?"

"Go to the Yule Ball with me" he said.

"You are not making sense Malfoy." She said.

"I'm making perfect sense Hermione." He said making her gasp. "I have been in love with you since we first met. I just didn't want to admit it until you punch me last year. After that I told my father that I liked you and refused to be apart of his prejudice against muggle-borns."

"You're in love with me?" She said shocked. Draco chuckled and leaned in and kissed her. Hermione froze when his lips touched hers, having no clue what to do she just let it happen. Draco pulled back before smiling at her.

"I'm hopelessly in love with you Hermione Granger." He said.

"Why?" She blurted out.

"Because you are beautiful, intelligent, brave, strong and caring." He said. Hermione stared at him trying to see if he was telling to truth, when she saw no deception her feelings started to change for the Slytherin. Instead of  feeling hate she felt almost happy that he likes her.

"Give me a chance Hermione, let me take you to the Ball" He said.

"Fine, I will go with you to the ball." She said before giving him a quick kiss and running off. She turned around when she was half way up the hill to she him sitting there grinning. Hermione herself couldn't help grinning before she went back to the castle to find a dress for the Ball.

"Hermione, are you okay?" A familiar voice asked. Hermione looked up to see her Slytherin standing in front of her. She stood up and hugged him. Ever since that day they had been an three secret dates and has kissed multiple times. Draco also asked her to be his girlfriend which she said yes too. Hermione pulled back and stared into his sexy eyes.

"I'm fine now that your are here" she said.

"I heard what happened and Weasley is stupid to think that you aren't attractive enough for someone to ask you out." He said.

"Well I told him that someone did asked me out." She said.

"They are not going to be happy when they see us together." He said.

"I don't really care as long as you are by my side." She said.

"Always" he said.

The night of the ball Hermione and Draco entered the Great Hall hand in hand to the gasp of everyone even the teacher and Harry and Ron. They didn't care as they danced the night away.
