"You did a great job Jamie" I said
"Thank you...is it odd to think she looks like Dylan?"
"Oh my god stop I was thinking the same thing but I didn't want to say it." I said
"Nah I was think the same and I am highly confused."
"Same but I mean that it's y'all baby so better for her to look like you two than to look like you and the sperm donor."
"Yea you right girl. I'm just confused how she can't be biologically connected to Dylan and look like Dylan."
"I don't know maybe you can ask the nurse?"
"Nah I mean it ain't that big of a deal. I'm just confused." Jamie said
"Well Hayden acts like me to a T and we aren't related. And he kinda looks like Anna and they aren't related" I said
"Yea that's true! That is very true with the him acting like you but him looking like Anna....ehhhh that's a stretch. But even still, the fact that Hayden acts so much like you, how does it happen that a child you're not related to can be or look so much like you?" She asked
"It just happens girl. Don't think to much into it, you just gave birth you need your rest." I said
"Yea true I'm really sleepy. I think ima take a nap. If Dylan comes back with the baby while I'm out, can you have her introduce her to Anna, Tom and Hayden because I know she's already forgotten about them" we laughed
"I will. Good night babe"

Dylan POV
"Shh it's ok Christian it's ok baby girl I'm right here" I said as she cried from her shot.
"She's a cutie."the nurse said
"Thank you."
He told me a whole bunch of stuff about how to hold her, where to support the most. He showed me how to change her diaper and how to put her clothes on her. He briefly told me about how to bathe her but would show me more in depth tomorrow when she gets her first bath.
"Am I able to show my friends her yet?"
"Yes but they have to come back here in order to see her." The nurse said.
In the waiting room
"How is Jamie and the baby" Tom asked.
"They are great" I smiled "Christian is beautiful" I bragged.
"Huuuuh finally ugh can we see her?!!!"
"Yea I'll bring you guys back."
"What's her full name again?" Tom asked
"Tom I told you this 3 times already"
"I'm sorry you know I forget a lot"
"Christian Logan Taylor"
"Oh yea oh yea. Sorry sorry." I rolled my eyes, some godfather he is.
"Auntie Dylan is the baby out Auntie Jamie's belly?" Hayden asked
"Yep she is buddy, we are going to see her."
"Oh yaay!" He said running up to me, I picked him up.
"Do you think she'll like my toys?"
"Buddy she's too little to play with them but when she gets older I know she will love your toys just as much as you do"
"Ok." He said happily "Where is momma?" He asked worried
"She's with Auntie Jamie"
"Are you sure? She don't go anywhere right?" that made me sad to hear. He thinks that Steph is going to leave again. I didn't realize just how much her being gone affected him.
"No Hayd, I promise she's with Auntie Jamie. Do you wanna hang with momma?" He nodded yes
"Ok let's go to momma first than"
Hayden POV
Auntie Jamie had her baby. I wike babies they are small and cute and soft and and cute but they poop and cry awot...I don't wike when babies cry. It make me sad. But I wike to make dem happy by being nice to dem. Auntie Dylan said Auntie Jamie's baby will wike my toys when she grow up and that make me happy because I wove my toys. Mommy plays with me awot because she wikes to. I wike when we play hide and seek because I alway find her but she never find me because I'm a good hider. I wish momma was dere too, then it would be even more fun! But momma has been gone for a while and she said today she not gonna weave again but Sawah weave me.
Auntie Dylan bringing me to momma. I miss momma awot and wanna see her.
"Momma, momma!" I ran to her after Auntie Dylan but me down.
"Shhh baby Auntie Jamie is sleeping"
"Oh. Sowy" I whisper
"It's ok baby. What are you doing here? Don't you want to go meet Christian?" She ask when I sit in her lap
"I do but I missed you momma"
"But baby I was with you just a little bit ago." I not a baby and I don't wike people calling me baby but it ok when momma does
"I know but I didn't know if you were going to weave soon."
"Hayden I'm not leaving ok?"
"But...but mommy...I mean Sawah say the same thing and she weave me with mommy but Sawah was a meany so it ok but I wike you momma! I don't want you to weave too momma. Pwease don't go momma..." I hug her tight
"Oh Hayden I'm sorry baby I'll pinky promise that I won't leave ever again ok?"
"Ok" we pinky swear "Momma?"
"Yes baby?"
"I wove you"
"I love you too buddy" I smile and I way my head on momma playing with her orange hair.
Steph POV
I hadn't realized just how much I mattered to Hayden until now. I mean we have only known each other for almost two days now and he's already made a strong bond with me. I mean he's a cutie that's for sure. I wonder how Anna got to keep him instead of him going in the system. Nevermind it was probably Tom.
I honestly don't know why I left them. This little boy is going to be my world with or without Anna, hopefully with her though.
"Momma I sweepy"
"Baby you shouldn't sleep or you won't be able to sleep later"
"Baby?"
"Hayden" I look down and he's already asleep...huuh Hayden Matthew Chance, soon to be Miller, has left such an impact on me....it's scare but in an ok way. It's like Anna carrying a child for 9 months and me finally having that connection with the baby after it's born, but only he's past the baby stage.
I reposition Hayden and myself so that I was sitting on a slant and he was lay on my chest. It's crazy to think that just a year ago me and Jamie were talking about not wanting kids until after college and here we are...Jamie with a newborn and me with an almost four year old. I thought for awhile longer before I decided to go to sleep my own self.
