Me - Aaliyah I whispered
Her eyes didn't even look my way , they stared at the ground .
Me - Aaliyah I repeated and proceeded to touch her .
We've been waiting for hours to find out information and haven't gotten anything .
That's caused to Aaliyah to go in this zombie mode .
Liyah - don't touch me she looked up and I noticed her eyes were red .
Me - everything's gonna be fine Liyah chill I said and she shook her head no .
The door opened and one by one doctors and nurses walked out .
They had blood everywhere .
Dr. Martinez came out after with a straight face
Aaliyah - my baby she said standing up
Dr . Martinez - the surgery was a success he said smiling and I watched as tears streamed down Aaliyah face .
Liyah - omg omg omg omg thank you she cried and hugged him tight thank you so much
I wiped my face and prayed to god , thanking him .
He gave me a second chance at being a father to my daughter and im going to take advantage of that .
They let us in the room , and when we walked in she laid peacefully asleep .
Liyah - mommy's baby she said and kissed her repeatedly . She grabbed onto her tiny hand and it grabbed back .
Me - I can't wait till you wake up baby
I placed a gently kiss on her forehead and smiled to myself .
She's so pretty .

* 4 days later *
Today was the day we get to take her back home . She had to stay till she healed a little .
Me - Lani
Lani - mommy she smiled a little looking at Travis .
He's been here by her side but I think he's scared to touch her .
He talks to her and make sure she's good but that's it .
Travis - hi baby girl
Lani - hi she said and I looked at him
Me - Travis you can touch her
He shook his head no .
Travis - no Liyah
Me - what's wrong ?
Travis - I don't want to hold her till she heal , I don't want to hurt her he said softly . I could tell he was scared .
Me - Travis it's ok .. I grabbed his hand and walked him closer to her bed
Me - mamas this daddy
Lani - dada ?
She haven't been woke and fully alert today , so his name didn't stick in her little mind .
Me - yesssssssssss I laughed I've told you this
She laughed a little when I pushed him closer
Me - give him kissy
She puckered her lips and when he bent down she kissed his cheek .
Travis - we're going home today
Lani - you come dada ?
He nodded his head
Travis - yes baby .
