"I Got Your Back"

*Poe's P.O.V*
We were so close-I was so close, the last few cannons only yards away. Adrenaline running through my veins like fire. I sped up. I watched the rest of the fleet fall back. General Leia Organa yelling in my ear to stop, but then there was another voice. Female and determined, fiery even as it said defiantly:
"I got your back red leader"
Who could it be?
It didn't matter. All that mattered was taking out the last few cannons. I flew forward not waiting for backup, not hesitating. I was almost in range. Then out of nowhere a tie fighter is zooming towards me. I didn't have time to rotate and blast it out of the air. I could only hope it didn't hit me before I took out the cannons. Then, the craziest thing happened. It got shot out of the sky by none other than the girl. She cheered and said:
"Take that scum!"
"We're not done yet" I warned
"Don't get cocky"
But I have to admit that girl has some skill flying like that.
We were coming up on the cannons. I locked onto the first and fired. A perfect shot. The girl sped past me going for the last cannon. She fired. There was only one way to describe the way she flew and shot. Flawless. We retreated and headed back to base. I knew I was in for a lecture from General Leia Organa, but I couldn't wait to find out who this mysterious new pilot was, and where she had learned to fly like that.
