               The bar Dean had taken her didn't seem too bad; a bearded band of musicians were playing upbeat, energetic music as a crowd of mixed ages danced on the makeshift, cramped dance floor. 

The place itself had a welcoming vibe, an open door to everyone

Lux's assertive eyes skimmed the room from corner to corner.

A small group of burly bikers littered with skull tattoos and draped in intimidating leather were sat on the bar front. With large steins of beer before them, they were grumbling, speaking lowly over the blaring music.

In the furthest booth away from the stage speakers and the performers themselves; was a young, nervous couple.

They couldn't have been any older than college students, seemingly cramming for an exam judging from the textbooks and sheets of paper that were spread across the tabletop.

It was probably a study date, though the two of them were struggling to meet each other's gaze, the girl fiddling with the collar of her thick sweater, while the boy was fixated flicking through the chunky textbook.
