"No tell me what's going on, why do you need to call Jack at 4 in the morning?" Clary asked

Alec POV

"Clary" I said but she wasn't listening she asked another question about Jack and the text

"CLARY" I said louder but she still wasn't listening

"CLARISSA!" I shouted

Clary POV

"CLARISSA!" Alec shouted making me flinch slightly as he caught me by surprise. Luckily Tommy hadn't woken up but I could hear the creak of floorboards and I knew Maddy was awake

Alec looked at me wide eyed realising what he had just done before looking at the ground

"Sorry" he mumbled sitting back down on the bed with his head in his hands

I knelt down in front of him and gently peeled his hands away from his face as he looked at me

"Sorry I didn't mean to shout I just..." He said but I cut him off by putting my finger over his lips

"Its okay, you just caught by surprise when you said Clarissa" I said giving a small smile "I don't hear that name very often"

He gave a sad smile back as I put my hands on his cheeks and kissed him

"You can call Jack or do whatever you need to do but first you have to tell me what is going on" I said and he nodded just as Maddy walked in the room

"Is everything okay?" Maddy asked

"Yeah, why don't you..."

"Stay" Alec said quickly

"Really?" I said as he nodded

"She deserves to know" he said standing up as me and Maddy sat down on the bed

Alec POV

I showed them both the text that Jack got and Maddy's eyes widened but Clary just stared. I explained that he was trying to take my clients and was basically coming after the company

He was probably also trying to get to Clary as well because it would be the easiest way to hurt me. Santorini had sent me other texts before but I hadn't told them earlier because I didn't need them worrying but now they needed to know.

Maddy wasn't really a part of this but if something did happen at least she would know why

There was one thing I hadn't told anyone except Jack though. A while ago Santorini came to my office and offered to buy my company. He said if I agreed he would give me a job with better pay but I of course refused. He stormed out angrily saying I would regret ever going against him

Maddy POV

I was in shock once Alec had said everything but I didn't really have time to react because Clary said "Maddy go to bed"

"But..." I started to protest but Clary glared at me

"Maddison. Go to bed" she said so I nodded and quickly exited the room. Clary didn't get angry often so it was easy to tell when she was about to shout at someone
