I walked out of that hospital confused, everything was happening so fast.

I mean why am I doing all this for a girl I just met?

I needed to skate, clear my mind.

It was seven and It got dark fast.

I sat on the side of the road like a hobo.

Cars passed leaving shadows on my face, I felt like my life was a movie.

I mean think about it.

A new girl moves here, I fall in love so easily with her, she ends in a coma and I'm left...tell me that doesn't sound like a movie plot.

I wasn't sure about loving Mary, yet I was so certain that I did.

What if she doesn't even live? What if she doesn't even remember me?

All these possibilities flew through my head.

I stood up, and held my thumb up.

I didn't want to walk.

I waited only for about ten minutes and a truck pulled up.

"You need a ride?" The guy asked.

Duh, or else I wouldn't be hitch hiking dumbass- no I didn't actually say that I was quite polite.

"Yeah, can you maybe give me one?" I asked.

"Sure get in." He opened the door from the inside.

Once I got in the truck, I regretted it for some reason, like a gut feeling.

I looked the guy up and down.

He had tattoos, and gauges, black hair and looked familiar.

He had an empty bottle of vodka in the cup holder.

"Had fun last night?" I laughed pointing at the bottle of vodka.

"Oh yea, a blast." He laughed.

"I didn't catch your name?" I asked.

"It's Cade." He cheesed the biggest smile.

What was he smiling about?

"Why you cheesin?" I laughed.

"I know you." He said.

"You're Shane." He looked over at me..

"Yes, that's me." I laughed again.

Okay?

"Where are you going?" He asked.

"Oh my house." I replied.

He laughed "Where's that?"

Oh yeah, ahha. Now I feel dumb.

"Oh it's on warps avenue, 4224." I replied.

He didn't reply.

"So how do you know me?" I asked.

"I was at a party, and um some people were talking about you." He said.

I just didn't get a good vibe from this guy.

"Oh okay." I didn't bother asking what they said because if it was bad about me dating a minor it might be awkward for him to tell me.

"I heard you're fucking a minor." He stated.

"What the hell?! No, not at all." It really pissed me off he had the balls to say that.

"That's what I heard." He replied.

"No, I'm simply seeing a minor." I said.

He smiled.
