I always wondered what the phrase "losing yourself" meant. It wasn't until Halloween 1987 that I knew what it meant. It had been brought to my attention that it was a figure of speech. You can't literally lose yourself. Multiple teachers had told me that much, over the years. Yes, I had asked my teachers what it meant.It was like an itch I couldn't scratch, a hunger I couldn't satisfy. It was only when I knew what it meant that I wish I hadn't wondered so much. So here is way number one: infatuation.
