NOTE: This (short) Anti-Rant will NOT be addressing issues regarding fan-fiction (they can defend themselves), werewolf, or vampire stories because I do not support groupies, bestiality, and/or pedophilia. So basically, this will turn into one of those rants if I start on that. And that will just tip the scales further. Also, this anti-rant targets only pointless rants that are hurtful without being helpful. Good ranters, please keep ranting, you guys are hilarious. Bad ranters, stop this incessant whining and get a life.
Don't get me wrong, I love writer/reader rants as much as the next person, but that’s because my sense of humor leans toward self depreciating. But as I scroll down, I often find comments from readers that try to defend themselves, or worse, try to hide their embarrassment at having written something that is considered cliché. And let’s face it; some of the rants are downright unreasonable.
So, I wonder, what is a rant? It’s basically a one-sided argument. And I feel the need for a second side. Here is a rant on rants.
Now let’s balance it out, shall we?
