I can't believe they call it a bridge of all things.
It was more like a bunch of rickety, rotting old planks of wood bound together with dental floss. I stared at it, then at Wildfire.
"Tell me you're joking," I said, dumbfounded. "Please tell me this isn't it."
"It isn't it," she said, obviously confused.
I sighed. "I know it is, but is there another way across?" I asked, nervous. If you couldn't tell, THERE WAS NO WAY I WAS CROSSING THAT BRIDGE.
Wildfire gave me a funny look. "Not that I know. I been here all my life, so I think I do."
I thought for a moment, translating her words from "Wildfire english" to "Nicky English." My shoulders sagged as it processed. "Oh" was all I could say. "Well that stinks."
"No, it doesn't," Wildfire said, straight-faced. I shrugged and waved my hand ahead of me.
"After you, I suppose," I told her, bowing extravagantly.
"Are you sure?" Wildfire suddenly asked, not having moved. "Are you sure you want to do this?"
I groaned, irritated. Why was everyone wasting my time?
I blinked, vaguely shocked at my thoguhts. I wasn't normally so...
So bitchy. Was I? I thought for a moment, but couldn't figure out the truth. If I was, then why did Hades like me so much?

A/N
Sorry for another short chapter. This is short even for MMLD but maybe the next time will be longer *fingers crossed.*
Anyway, the story in my head is sort of stalling, as I have to choose between two different plotlines. Bear with me, okay?
Anyway, later. XD
