When I got home, all I wanted to do was sink my head into my pillow but I had another job as a waitress at Emilio's Ballato's. Emilio's a popping Italian restaurant in New York City and known for having notable figures like the Kardashians, Rihanna and even President Barack Obama but I've never seen any of them. It was just my 3rd week, Jaya was able to put in a good word for me to get the job. Since I just graduated from college, I was looking for more work. I'm the founder of My Brothers Keeper which is an organization I started at a youth center in Harlem but that almost never brought in money, I didn't do it for the money anyway.

I plopped on the couch and groaned

"You good?" Jaya asked

"Yeah...I'm just tired and still thinking about my mom," I said lowly

"At least she has a roof over her head. Don't' be sad" Jaya said

"Who's sad?" Troy asked coming in through the front door

"Zara. Her mom's lost her job"

"Oh no, What's she gonna do?" he asked

"Well right now she's gonna live with my aunt, her husband, my grandma, and badass cousins, that house can't even fit any more people"

"Did you tell her she can move in here? It's perfectly fine with me although we probably won't be having our turn up Tuesdays anymore" Troy said

"Nah she has to much pride, she won't let me help. I just don't want her to get depressed you know especially with everything else that's happened"

"Well at least she's around family," Jaya said

"You're right and I have to check on her more. It's just that I've been so busy with work"

"Girl so have I. I literally spent the afternoon cleaning up puke from a dental chair," Troy said

"Ick" I cringed

"Ed just texted me and he said the whole restaurant is reserved by special guests," Jaya said putting her hair into a messy bun.

"Please...I have at least two hours until I deal with that" I groaned as I rested my head on the couch. I heard Jaya chuckle then go into her room. I closed my eyes, slowly drifting to sleep

**

"Wake that ass up" I heard Troy holler.

I jolted my body from the sofa.

"You gon' be late for work" he smirked

"You're a dick," I said as I got up.

"Don't threaten me with a good time" he winked then laughed

I rolled my eyes then went to change into my other uniform. Jaya was already dressed and grabbing her bag. "I'm waiting in the car"

"Ok" I groaned

We got to the restaurant's kitchen and the staff was louder than usual. They were chatting and giggling.

"Who'd you say was reserving the restaurant?" I asked putting my things in the locker

"I didn't. They just said special guest" Jaya said

"My co-worker at Starbucks said some big politicians are here for some conference maybe it's them," I said

Emilio's had a strict protocol when it came to celebrities and other public figures

1) No staring

2) No photographs, recordings or autographs without their permission

3) No small talk (only if they talk to you first)

4) Be extremely friendly (even when they're being jerks)

5) Don't interrupt celebrities while they're eating — no matter whom they are with or if they are alone

6) Don't actively follow (i.e. stalk) a celebrity to any part of the establishment – restroom included

7) Don't ask celebrities any personal questions, try to slip them a script or piece of your own work, or make negative or questioning comments about their careers or projects.

8) Do take a deep breath and remember that celebs are people, too.

There are more but those are the main ones. I heard one girl asked Taylor swift for a photograph and got fired immediately. I'm glad we're too broke to afford cable, so I don't gotta deal with that mess.

"They're here!" someone whispered and everyone gathered at the kitchen door. I tried to look too but all I saw were a bunch of old white guys in suits.

"Who is it?" Jaya asked

"Some white people," I said waving them off

"I wonder why they are so pressed for politicians?" Jaya asked

"Not just politicians, the Princes of England are here" Kelly, a co-worker said

"The Princes?" I asked in disbelief.

"Yeah, but Emilio's super duper annoying today, so he's picking the waiters to serve them. I hope he picks me" Kelly said as she pushed up her bra. Jaya and I exchanged glances.

Emilio busted in and everyone scattered like they were doing something productive. He pointed to 3 waiters which included me and Jaya. "You are waiting on the big table" he said

I rushed out of the door and saw a big group of people. Many of the faces I couldn't make out but it had to be at least 50 people here.

"Hello, My name is Zara, what may I start you out with?" I said in the most polite tone, probably the most polite I ever sounded. I quickly scanned the table trying to see any famous familiar faces then...

IT WAS THE CUTE DUDE FROM STARBUCKS!

He looked up at me with now combed slicked back hair giving me a good look at his light green eyes and chiseled jawline. He cleaned up very well compared to the wet jogger suit he had this morning.

His eyebrows rose in surprise "Oh hello," he greeted with a smile.

"Hello sir, what drink can I get for you?" I said trying to remain professional.

"A glass of water is fine," he said

"I would like a gin neat," the guy next to him said. I'm guessing that was his younger brother since they looked exactly alike.

I was writing the orders down as I felt the Prince staring at me.

"I'll get your drinks shortly," I said then scurried to the kitchen.
