Justin's POV

My dad got sent to rehab. Now I'm feeling a little better. But Ariana hasn't come to school in two weeks. That's why I'm visiting her right now.

Her mom opened the door.

"Oh, hello." She smiled.

"Can I talk to Ariana?" I asked.

"She's sick... but yes you may. Her bedroom is upstairs and the first room to the right." She says.

I nodded. I didn't hesitate to go upstairs. I walked into her room.

She was just laying there, staring at the ceiling. There were so many tissues.

"Why are you here?!" She says, glaring at me.

"I came to apologize." I said. "I'm so so sorry. I'm just gonna tell you why I made your life so miserable. When I was a toddler, my parents started getting into drugs and alcohol. They started abusing me and my mom eventually died of an overdose. The beating got worse and worse as I grew up. Last year it died down a little but he still beat me. His behavior shaped me into who I am today. A jerk, bully, and whatever you think of me. Then.. I saw you. You had the perfect life. Your family loved you unlike my dad did. So jealousy grew over me and I... started bullying you. I'm sorry." I said.

She was a crying mess. "Where is your dad?" She asked.

"He got sent to rehab a few days ago. I talked to a therapist and she helped me." I said.

"I'm sorry." Ariana says.

"You shouldn't be sorry." I said, hugging her. "Oh, and lemme guess, you're not sick?"

"No." She says.

"Is everything okay? I was worried sick about you." Justin says.

"I'm fine. Thank you for telling me." She says.

"Friends?"

"Friends." She smiles.

"Um, Ariana. Is it possible for uh, you um- nevermind." I blushed.

"Did you just blush?" Ariana giggled.

"Um, yeah." I said, still blushing.

"Come on, spit it out." She says.

"Willyougoonadatewithmetommorownight?" I said.

"Sure." She giggled.

"Wait, you understood that?"

"Yeah."

"So, we're going swimming." I said.

"You've already had this planned, did you?" She giggled.

Her giggle kills me.

"Yeah........" I said.

She laughs. "Want to watch Netflix with me?"

"Sure."

Her mom walks in. "Oh, be careful. You might catch whatever she has."

"She's feeling a lot better." I said.

"Oh, okay." Her mom smiled.
