Philophobia is the term used to represent the fear of love. The fear of falling in love, the fear of being in love, the fear of feeling love for another being. It's a fear that runs deep and could stem from past hurt or abuse, or just a hard-wired malfunction, chaining you to a desolate life all alone.

It's the type of fear that begins as a dull ache in your chest at the very beginning of the 'feelings', a simmering warning that something is wrong, or that something bad is going to happen. It's easy enough to ignore, at first, and that's usually how it gets out of control. The simmering is quick to turn into bubbling, the bubbling turning into raging, and the raging turning into pure explosions of pain, rage and unexplainable fear.

Love.
