Just Give It Time.

I woke up the next morning with barely any sleep. It was hard to drag myself out of the bed and do the morning routine. It wasn't exactly better when David sat there. I've heard him murmuring 'good morning' but I wasn't paying attention to it. All I did was concentrate on not falling asleep again. Then I heard a knock. I rushed to the door and my feeling was right when I was greeted with a warm hug and a peck on the lips.

"Sleepy, much?" Rachel laughed, noticing that I could fall asleep on her shoulder right away. I nodded slightly, not letting go of her shoulder. "I have some great news for you then. Teachers have some appointment today, I don't know what it is about exactly. So, school is canceled for today." She waited for an answer but it never came until I felt her shoulder in my face, still holding me so I don't fall face first on the concrete. "Huh, what? Yeah, that's nice." I mumbled. "How long have you slept last night?" - " I don't know, about 2 or 3 hours maybe." - "Just because you're tired." I was about to ask her what she meant by that but was more than surprised when she carried me bridal style through the door, quickly shouting 'school's canceled!' in hope that someone would hear it so nobody thinks we're skipping, and placed me in my bed. "You stay, right?" I asked her full of hope. "Of course, sleepyhead." She threw her flannel somewhere and took off her pants to join me. For a change, I was the little spoon but it was more than ok when I drifted back to sleep within seconds.

I woke up to Rachel scrolling down her phone. "What ya doing?" I caught her attention. "You look so cute when you're sleepy." she gave me a quick kiss. "I'm looking for apartments in LA, just for fun." I sat up and placed myself behind her, hugging her from behind and placing my chin on her shoulder. "I know you aren't looking 'just for fun', you're looking because you want to go there." - "Well, yeah. Right." - "You know we still have time, right? We have to finish school first. Unless you can find a job without having the right education." She sighed. " I know, babe. But I don't wanna stay here any longer. The only thing I have here is you. Arcadia Bay is so boring." I kissed her head and hugged her tighter. "I know, Rach. But we got this, ok? We have each other and we're gonna kick the school's ass until we're done. And then it's 'Bye, Bye, Bay'. How do you like that idea?" - "Sounds alright, I guess. As long as you won't leave me." - "Pfft, as if I'd ever leave you." - "Good." We shared an assuring kiss, knowing that we'd be there for each other, now and always.

We blew off the slightly depressed mood by deciding to watch a movie. We ended up watching  "The Butterfly Effect" with Ashton Kutcher. Never liked him as an actor but that movie is so deep, you just have to love it.

"We should go get tattoos tomorrow. Like really," Rachel said out of nowhere. "Uh, excuse me, what?" - "You said you want one, I want one. So?" - "Yeah, but I don't have any money. You know that, right?" - "My treat. I'll ask my dad for a bit of pocket money." - "I can't let you pay for my tattoo, though." - "I'm not paying for it. My dad is, unofficially. Don't say no, I won't let you go anyway." I threw my arms up in surrender. "Ok, fine. What are you planning to get?" - "I want a dragon on my leg, like on my calf." I gave her a smirk. "That sounds incredibly hot." - "Right? So, what's in your mind?" - "I'm not sure yet. I want a tattoo sleeve, with skulls, roses, and butterflies but since you're paying for m-" - "You're getting a full sleeve. End of discussion. Sound also incredibly hot." She winked at me.

"You're ridiculous, Amber." - "Wow, that sentence came out of your mouth, Price?"
The tattoo parlor it is then.
