AN: Merry Christmas.

———

They laid by each other, watching one of the most classic movies known in Disney. Chat's eyes were wider and sharper than ever as he heard Scar whisper "long live the King" in Mufasa's ear.

Marinette was surprised when she heard Chat and Simba harmonize on the "Noooooooooooooooooo!"

She held his arm and hushed him. "Shh. My parents."

It was difficult to tell if he heard since his eyes didn't leave the screen, so Marinette rubbed his arm as tears formed in his eyes. She stiffened a bit when the big lump of super rested his head on her shoulder, but let it be when the little lion stumbled into his father.

She wrapped an arm around him while he more listened to the scene than watched it. "Dad? Dad, wake up?" She couldn't smile at Chat's childish behavior as the lion cub called for help and kept failing to move his father. When she glanced at her shoulder his eyes were dazed and almost in a melancholy state, staring at nothing in particular,  but remembering something play out with the voices of the movie.

She didn't say anything as the villain stalked the cub and gave the classic line, "Run away and never returned." In the second between the music staring again, Chat grimaced to himself before his eyes and head darted to watched the sequence that followed Scar's order, "Kill him."

Marinette saw how terrified his slit eyes were, watching the hyenas chomp after the baby lion that tried desperately to get away. She mentioned stopping the movie, but he insisted that he watch. Even after all the times he cried.

She let him finish it all, occasionally leaving to grab some snacks, but only on the funny part in case he needed a shoulder again.

Chat sighed in relief once the credits started to play. Marinette closed her tablet and gave Chat a weary glance. "So? Is it a ten out of ten, would watch again?"

He chuckled at her little rhyme. "Definitely. It was the perfect mix of drama, comedy, love and betrayal I've ever seen. And a much happier Hamlet story in my opinion."

She smiled and pat his back. "That death scene though. Most powerful thing in the film."
