Just when I thought my night couldn't get any worse, it turns out, it really could. First, I dirtied my favorite brown leather jacket, now this. I laid bleeding in the dirty alleyway as the stench of smoke and fire filled my nose. The smell of death. I closed my eyes accepting the brawl with the god of death that I would have to fight. Because I'll be damned if I get taken down by that smug douche Hades. A figure stood over me putting my right arm over their shoulder. "Those monsters got you bad," the stranger spoke revealing that it, was a he. Dark brown eyes stared down at me while I showed him my golden ones. He was...he was...he wasn't Hades at all. He must have been a demigod. "You'll be fine," he grunted taking a deep breath. Suddenly, we were unraveled in black smoke only making my heart pound faster and harder. Here I was, being taken in by a demigod of the god of death, to the heavens know where. "Piper!" the name was screamed by the death demigod as suddenly we were in an entirely different place. The floor changed from cement to wood...and the walls...they were curved yet still wood like. It was a gravitational phenomenon. "Wow Nico," someone laughed. "Nice of you to-" the boy stopped his sentence forcing me to open my eyes. A boy's smile slid off his face seeing me. He was latino at my guess. Dark curly hair, brown eyes, and soot all over his clothes. "Who is that?" I heard someone whimper taking me off of the death demigod's arm. 'Nico.' a soft voice reminded me. 'His name, is Nico.' I looked up at the girl carrying me as she set me on a medical bed. One I knew all too familiar. She was one of the most beautiful girls I have ever seen. Tanned skin with a long dark braid that draped over her shoulders. 'Piper.' the soft but yet cheer voice said in my mind. 'Her name, is Piper.'
"Nico where did you find her?" Piper demanded to know examining me. "I was leaving someplace when some weird new monsters attack," he started to explain giving me flashbacks of moments ago. I stood on the roof watching as the death demigod battled with an Inugami. Inugami's were monsters, sent from Egypt to kill and track down Egyptian monsters. And so far, the death demigod was losing. I sighed jumping down from the roof. 'Showtime.'
"She saved me," he mumbled looking down at me. Piper picked up my right arm looking at the weird markings on it that I was too weak to fight her. "You'll be fine but your body needs rest," Piper spoke gently laying my arm back down. Originally, I was going to argue. Fight them. But she was right. I closed my eyes slowly taking Piper's orders. All I needed was sleep. And then when I wake back up on this boat, I can leave. 'Not unless it's not docked.'
I snapped my eyes back open startled by my thought. I could be trapped on this boat. Before I could fully process where I was or what was happening, I stood up taking out my switchblade ready to fight. It didn't even process through my mind fully of who I was grabbing taking as a hostage. I grabbed the nearest person putting them in an arm lock with the knife around threatening to slice their throat. The boy I held in my arm gasped seeing me take such a random action. He had black hair and seemed to be Asian. "Where am I?" I growled poking his skin gently with the knife. The very least I wanted to do while I was here was kill any of them after they saved me. "C-Calm down none of us are going to-"I cut him off noticing the stairs that seemed to lead out of this room. "Go up the stairs, carefully, and slowly," I ordered pushing him forward with my own body. The Asian kid understood walking over to the door with my right behind him. He opened the door at the top and walked forward through a hall into another room. "So what's the plan with the hot chick down in the infirmary?" I heard a familiar voice ask. The floor creaked gaining everyone in the rooms attention as they all looked in the doorway. "Uh, guys? A little help?" the boy stuck in my arm spoke nervously. They all jumped up ready for a fight if they needed too. They were like me. Smart, fast, and deadly. However, I was better. "Let him go!" A dark female demanded clutching her fork. "You don't need to do this," another male stepped up calmly showing me his bare hands. His determined look said it all. This was the leader of these half-bloods. Or at least of the death demigod. "Where am I and who are you, people?" I started off with my own questions. "I'm Percy," he started off keeping strict eye contact with me. "You were injured in a fight so we brought you here to fix you up,"
"Where are we now," I asked putting my knife away but keeping the Asian boy still in my grip. The dark girl lowered her defenses slightly seeing my ease with their friend. But that wouldn't fool me. "Somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean," the boy from earlier answered. Not the death demigod. The handsome Latino. There. I got everything I needed. I released their friend from my grip before heading back out into the hall down to be confronted by more stairs. I hopped over them to smell seawater everywhere. The cute latino boy wasn't lying, was he? I looked over the railing to find nothing but water surround the boat. Crud. "Who are you?" A blonde boy called after me followed by the rest of his friends. His blue eyes crackled with curiosity and flaming lightning. These were the three. A death demigod. A Zeus half-blood. And a son of Poseidon. "Wouldn't you like to know?" I replied with a smirk on my face. These half-bloods weren't idiots. Well, at least I hoped. "We bring you onto our ship, heal you up, and we don't even get a name," the son of Zeus scoffed at my response. Silence stayed between us keeping my eyes out on the waters. "Thank you for your help,"I gave up my mysteriousness for a moment gaining their trust. I turned back over to face the demigods as they all stared at me, some with a friendly look. Others with a more deadly glare. "I'm sorry about your friend," I nodded over at the Asian boy at which the dark-skinned girl took his hand protectively. "So where is this ship headed anyway?" I sighed looking back over the railing for a moment. I couldn't swim when I was...like this. The Latino boy opened his mouth happy to answer before a dirty blonde girl covered his mouth with his hand. "Why don't you tell us who you are before we get any further," she recommended with a certain tone in her voice. Distaste. "Who are you?" she repeated for the son of Zeus more sternly. 'Time for what I do best.'
"You may know my mother, Bellona,"I bowed dramatically before going back up nodding the brown curly hair out of my face. The girl questioned my response with a suspicious eyeing. "Children of Bellona never give up in a fight," the dark-skinned girl pointed out the main hole in my plan. She was right. Children of Bellona fight till they win or till they die. I shrugged my shoulders not having a good reply. "Lack of sleep," I excused it off as something that these teenagers would understand. "What were those things back in New York?" a voice questioned. All eyes darted from me back to Nico as he approached me stepping in front of his group. He looked tired, as if he hadn't slept in days. His dark brown eyes studied my face, mostly looking for some source of lies. But little did he know that was practically my day job. "Those were what I've called, Inugami. They're wolf-like animals that are vicious, and will kill without hesitation,"
"Why have none of us ever heard of them?" Nico fired back ready to test me. "Because they aren't from Greek, Roman, Norse, or modern Egyptian mythology," I sighed not liking how much of the truth I was spreading. The seven shared looks of confusion while Nico kept staring at me. "What in the underworld are you talking about?" The cute latino boy questioned loudly making me smile on the inside. "Prepared to have your minds blown half-bloods,"
[IMPORTANT. DO NOT SKIP]Authors Note: Yes! As promised here is a Percy Jackson story-which, by the way, is child safe meaning that there will be no adult themes such as sex, drugs, curse words(all except for Dam/damn and there might be a few accidental "hells" which I am sorry for), etc(but something may be implied idk we'll see). However, beware that I haven't read the books in years and I just now really fell back into the fandom. So here are some things to note that are going to be very different from the books:
1: Percy and Annabeth never went to Tartarus, however, Blood Of Olympus still happened
2: Percy's mom isn't pregnant(only because I really wanted Percy to be apart of the book instead of off dealing with little baby Estelle WHO I LOVE WITH ALL MY HEART LIKE OMG)
3: Kane Chronicles will have nothing to do with this series since I didn't finish it(nor do I want to)
4: I haven't read Trails Of Apollo yet either so none of that
5: You all may be wondering what happened to Calypso and I assure you she's fine just not aboard the Argo(which will be explained in a future chapter)
6: This list may change or grow in the future of please be patient with me.
But anyway, thank you my Demons for reading this first chapter. Feedback, votes, comments, DM's are always appreciated. For now, that is all. I'll see you Demons in the next chapter.
