I sat on my bed on shock as I watched the news well TMZ the topic of conversation? Toni Braxton R&B sensation opted her husband for her female background singer.

I was in shock to process who could've done such thing because no one else knew about us but my sisters, my mother and of course us. The bedroom door busted open and in came Ava.

"Baby" I ran up to her hugging her tight.

"I heard baby" she said trying to comfort me

"who could've done this I mean no one else really knows other than the ones I've told" I rambled

"I know but listen it's out now okay just embrace it we don't have to hide us anymore" she said

"What are you talking about Ava you're not the one who's gonna be in every media there is...my reputation is ruined"

She looked at me as if I said the dumbest shit ever.

"All you're concerned about is you reputation--- Toni you should've thought about reputation before you chose to step over here. I don't know who snitched to TMZ but wasn't you the one who said you won't let anything come between us no matter what? Now that shit like this happen you're all of a sudden worried about what people think. I don't care what people think and neither should you" Ava snapped

"No I understand perfectly fine...you're ashamed of me. We don't go out in public together, we barely told anyone, besides being at your house all the time you turn down going out and doing things a couple normally do. All this time I thought you just needed time but now I get it, I'm just your dirty secret, a hidden sin... I see now " Ava said

"That's not true" I said with hurt

"If it ain't true then how comes you don't hold my hand when we go out or even mention me to your friends"

"I just needed time"

"Time...you needed time " she said rolling her eyes

" I don't see you telling your friends or family about me" I argued

"See that's where you're wrong...my family and friends know and as a matter of fact I was just gushing about you to them not too long ago so what's your excuse"she said folding her arms

"Okay but it's not that simple okay I have a reputation to protect"

"FUCK YOUR REPUTATION" she yelled making me jump

"I'll be in the guest room"

I watched her walk out the room closing the door behind her. I plopped back down on the bed letting a breath I didn't know I was holding. I honestly wasn't aware of how much I was hurting her but I thought that protecting the image that the world knows safe but I guess that all went to shit now.

I laid back on the bed with the whole world on my mind eventually I fell asleep without Ava by my side.
