Chapter twelve: Date

Start from the beginning

Saya is sitting on the couch folding her legs watching TV.

"you look like baby lamb walking in those heels," She comment without turning her head from the TV.

"I never like wearing heels. I wear them on occasions."

We stay silent watching the television until My phone ringing.

[Adam]

I pick up my phone.

"Hello?"

"I'm here."

"Okay, I'm coming down in a minute," I said.

[Call end]

"Good luck on your date," Saya said.

I get off the couch and left her apartment.

I left the building and realize I don't know what kind of car Adam has.

I pick up my phone and ready to call him.

"Excuse me, miss are you lost?" Someone said.

I turn my head.

There was my old crush standing there with a smile how I remember back then.

"Gotcha," he said.

"Adam!" I said.

We both hug.

I'm already feeling my chest beating fast.

"Where your car?" I ask.

"I park it over there. You look great," he said.

"You too."

We walk back to his car. He unlock the doors. He opens the passenger door.

"After you," he said.

"Thanks."

I enter his car sitting in the passenger seat. He enters the driver seat.

"Did you have a car?" he ask staring the engine.

"No, I don't have a license."

" Why not?"

"I rathar take transportation. I don't have to worry about parking or gas."

"Understandable."

He starts to move the car and drive down Mellville street.

"Do you know a place where we should go?" I ask.

"You don't mind going for a restaurant?"

My mind is screaming.

He's taking me out to a restaurant! Score!

"That's cool! I don't mind," I said.

"How's life?"

"It's good, I kind of miss the high school days."

"Tell me about it, Those were the good days."

"Have you spoke to Jackson?" I ask.

Jackson is one of Adam's close friend in high school.

"We not in speaking terms."

"Sorry to hear that."

"You and Addi?"

"Us too."

"That's the downfall of growing up. You lose some of your friends."
