Potty Training

Based on my book dangerously in love if you haven't read it yet go read it.

"Skye we can't send you to preschool if you don't get potty trained!" Thomas yelled.
"No!" Three year old Skye yelled as she ran around the house butt naked.
"Sweetie please try and use the potty." Angelica asked as she chase after her.
"No!" Skye yelled as she ran into the bathroom. Angelica heard the door lock. She was surprised she didn't even know that Skye could reach the doorknob.

"Skye please open the door. You need to use the potty. You can't keep having accidents." Thomas said.
Angelica turned to Thomas.
"Listen babe I got this." She said.
"Uh Skye it's just me mommy. Can I come in?" Angelica asked.
After a few moments Skye opened the door and peeked her head out.
"Just mommy." Skye said.
Angelica looked at thomas.
"It's a girl thing." She said.

When she walked in she saw Skye sitting on the floor.
Angelica sat next to her holding Skye in her arms.
"Mommy do I have to use the potty?" Skye asked.
Angelica nodded.
"Yes you have too." Angelica answered.
"But why?" Skye asked.
"Skye we all grow up and apart of growing up is being potty trained. Mommy had to get potty trained and daddy had to get potty trained too." Angelica said. "Skye you're getting too old to be wearing pullups."

Angelica looked at Skye who still looked sad.
"Skye how about this. If you use the potty without me or daddy asking you we'll bake some cookies." Angelica said.
Skye smiled.
"Yay!" She squealed. "Mommy."
"Yes Skye." Angelica answered.
"I don't have to use the potty now can I use it later?" Skye asked.
Angelica smiled picking Skye up.
"Yes Skye you can use the bathroom later." She answered.

It was 3:00 and Skye was down for her nap. Thomas and Angelica were sitting in the living room watching General hospital while eating popcorn.
"So how'd you get Skye to calm down?" Thomas asked.
"I told her if she used the potty all by herself we'll bake cookies." Angelica told Thomas.
Thomas smiled.
"Cookies always make a person feel better." Thomas said.

"Mommy! Come here!" Angelica heard Skye yell.
"we put her down for a nap an hour ago what is she doing up?" Thomas asked.
Thomas and Angelica walked down the hall yelling Skye's name.
"I'm in the bathroom." Skye said. Angelica and Thomas walked into the bathroom to see Skye on the potty.
"Sweetie you used the potty!" Angelica said.
"Number one or number 2?" Thomas asked.
"1." Skye answered.
"Sweetie I'm so proud of you. You're becoming such a big girl." Angelica said.

Skye pulled her pants up and Thomas picked her up.
"I think it's time to make those cookies." he said.
"Yay cookies!" Skye yelled and the 3 walked to the kitchen.
