Review:

I am a sucker for royalty and historical fan fiction stories so it shouldn't be a surprise that I read this. Cathryn is a common young woman who has always felt like she was a part of something bigger than herself. The story takes you through her past; how she met the prince and how they become friends. She has always loved him, but the reader has the privilege of watching her fall deeper. In the beginning chapters, the reader are taken with the beautiful writing style and the classic Cinderella idea of a common girl falling for a prince; quickly, the readers realize this story is so much more than that. It is a story of firsts loves, intimacy, and the struggle between duty and love. The story pulls at the heart strings and makes for quite a page turner.
