As he dragged me along the street, I couldn't help but wonder where he was taking me. I was really surprised that I wasn't freaking out more, but I think I was just way too tired for my brain to process everything.

I suddenly realized how I felt so helpless with the mystery man just pulling me along. I ripped my arm from his grasp, but he immediately reached out and grabbed it again. I shook him off once more and said, "I can do it. I won't go anywhere, but I don't like being dragged. I can walk myself."

He looked at me for a moment, as if trying to decided whether I was going to run or not. Finally, he nodded his head, saying, "Fair enough." Then, we resumed walking, me feeling a little better now that I could walk myself.

Where could we possibly be going was one of the many questions running through my mind. As if sensing that I was about to ask, the man told me that it was no use trying to figure it out. So, we lapsed back into silence and continued walking. It felt like it had been an hour, but it had probably only been about five minutes. I had forgotten my watch on my bathroom counter after I took a shower that morning, and, just my luck, my crappy cell phone was dead.

We kept walking until we got to the park that my parents used to bring me to when I was a kid. It was the park that separated the nicer part and worse part of town. However, the park pretty much belonged to the nice part of town. The guy told me to sit down on a bench next to some of the slides and not to move. I figured I had followed him that far, there was no point in trying to run now.

He walked towards the trees on the opposite side of the park while pulling his phone out of his pocket. He messed around with it for a second before putting it up to his ear. I could barely make out what he was saying, but one particular sentence floated to my ears through the cool breeze. "Yeah, I got her," he had said. Who was he talking to? My breath hitched in my throat as I wondered who could possibly want me. Who was this guy kidnapping me for?

I'd be lying if I said that the thought of running while I actually had a small chance didn't cross my mind. But I was pretty sure that the guy wasn't bluffing when he said that he was faster than me. He had started walking back over to me by then anyways.

He walked right past me, but stopped when he noticed I wasn't following. "Let's go, Jamie." Wait, what?

"How do you know my name?" I questioned in the same cold voice as before.

He took a sharp intake of breath, before turning around. He smirked at me. "Lucky guess." My mouth dropped open, me feeling completely dumbfounded. Then, he continued talking. "Oh, calm down. I'm just kidding. You're wearing a name tag, duh." I'm sure I visibly relaxed after he said that. I also felt pretty stupid. I completely forgot that I was still in my work shirt. His voice interrupted my thoughts once more when he notified me that we were nearing our destination.

We walked through the park and out on the other side. The town already looked a lot better. I hadn't been over on that side of town since my parents left me about four years before. I followed him to the parking lot next to the park where one car was. I didn't think it was his though; as this car was not just a car. This vehicle waiting was a limo. It wasn't like a huge stretch limo where it was barely going to be able to make a turn, but it was a limo nonetheless, and a nice one at that. I couldn't help but wonder what celebrity was hanging out at Sherwood Park this late at night. But, what happened next surprised me.

Mystery guy walked right up to the limo, opened the door, and motioned for me to get in. Frozen in shock, I could just barely get my legs to move towards the vehicle. I finally got in and was shocked once again by the inside of it. I had never been in a limo before. There were drinks and snacks laying throughout the back of the vehicle. There were also two separate televisions, a large sound system, and many lights. The back of the limo was nicer than my whole apartment!
