Chapter 39 - Nathan Part 3

Clary POV

I walked into the headteachers office and saw Nathan sitting down with who I presumed was his parents and my mom was standing on the other side of the room

"Clarissa take a seat" the Head teacher said so I sat down in the seat next to Nathan which was a bit closer to him than I would have liked but I felt a bit more relaxed with my mom there

"Clarissa" the headteacher began

"Please call me Clary" I said interrupting

"Right Clary, your mother has told us about what happened between you and Nathan in the library yesterday and Nathan has also told us his side of the story. I'm afraid we will have to involve the police due to the situation"

I nodded in agreement but Nathan started kicking off

"What no everything she said is a lie!" He said pointing at me and shouting. I immediately jumped from my seat and stood by my mom who put her hand on my shoulder

"Nathan please calm down" the headteacher said and Nathan sat back down fuming

"I want a lawyer!" He said

"Please just wait for" the head teacher was cut off when the secretary walked in with two policeman behind her

I looked up and recognized it was the police officer that saved me from the day in the woods when I was running from Sam. I smiled at him and he gave a small smile back and turned to see Nathan

"Nathan Gray, you are under arrest for the attempted kidnap of Clarissa Fray with your co conspirator Samuel Johnson" the police officer said

"WHAT THIS BULLSHIT" Nathan shouted as the police officer arrested him and the other started talking

"Sir please calm down we found evidence that you have been contacting Sam about Clarissa and arranging a time to sneak him out of jail and kidnap her. You can come with us quietly or we will use force"

Nathan went quiet then and was escorted out of the room by one of the police officers.

"I'm so sorry" I heard my mom say and I realized she was talking to Nathan's parents

"Its okay" they said "we are disappointed in Nathan but we don't blame you Clarissa we know its not your fault" they said and walked out of the room

The other police officer turned to us.

"Is there anything you need?" He asked

"Yes I would like to file a restraining order against Nathan and Sam for my daughter" mom said. The officer nodded

"Of course, if you would like to follow me to the station and we can sort out all the paperwork. I'll wait outside" he said and then walked out

"Maybe you should take the rest of the day off" Mom said turning to look at me

"What no, I'm fine" I replied. I wanted to stay in school. I needed to feel normal again

"Claris I mean Clary you are welcome to take the rest of the day off if you need but you are welcome to stay as you have missed a few weeks of school already" the headteacher said

"I'll stay I'll be fine mom really I have Alec, Izzy, Jon and Simon"

"Okay just call me if you need anything" she said. The headteacher took me back to class and gave me a note

I walked back in and didn't bother getting my stuff out because there was only 5 minutes left of class

Simon looked at me and I gave him a thumbs up. He leaned over and whispered "what happened?"

"I'll tell you later I don't really need all these people gossiping about me again" I replied and he nodded

Class ended and I had a free period after with Simon and Alec so we all met up in an empty classroom

"What happened? Are you okay?" Alec said grabbing my hand

I smiled"don't worry I'm fine" I said patting his hand. He breathed a sigh of relief as we all sat on the table

Just then the door opened and Izzy, Tessa and Jon walked in

"What are you guys doing don't you all have a lesson?"

"Yeah but we heard your name and Nathan being called and then we saw Nathan leaving in handcuffs so we asked to go to the toilet" Tessa said

"Yeah you have 5 minutes to explain everything before we need to go back to class" Izzy said and Jon nodded

"Okay so they called our names and mom was in the office with Nathan and his parents. Then the police came and said Nathan was guilty of attempting to kidnap me and working with Sam so they arrested him. He shouted that it was bullshit. He denied everything and said he wanted a lawyer but they took him away. Then his parents said they were disappointed in him and they didn't blame me for what happened. Oh and my mom files a restraining order against Sam and Nathan for me in case they get out of jail"

They all just looked at me "wow" Simon said, "you're life is like a soap opera"

"Or a telenovela" Izzy said and I looked at her

"What I'm into Spanish drama" she said shrugging

"Glad you're okay Clare" Jon said hugging me "now we have to go back to class see you in a bit" he said walking out if the classroom

"Yeah glad you're okay" Tessa said walking over to me. She was showing a little now so the rumours about her pregnancy would probably start soon but Tessa said she didn't care

She hugged me to. "I'll see you at home Clary, Simon and I are going out" she said. I nodded and she walked out with Tessa so it was just me, Alec and Simon left.

"So where you taking my sister?" Alec said looking at Simon very seriously

I laughed looking at both of them.

"Chill Lightwood I can tell you for a fact that Simon, my very best friend who is like a brother too me, will take exceptionally good care of Izzy" I said putting my hand on his shoulder. He just looked gave me the 'really' look.

"Okay fine slight exaggeration but he won't let anything happen to Izzy, will you Simon?"

"Of course I not I love her, I mean like I like Izzy" he said covering his mouth

"Aw Simon tell her I bet she loves you too" I said

"Umm yeah I think I will" he said smiling

"So where are you taking her?" Alec asked again

"Umm actually its the same place you and Clary went, that posh diner place. And I know your parents aren't always around much, and obviously I'll ask them, but I was hoping for your seal of approval of me dating Izzy" Simon explained looking at Alec

"Hmm no" Alec said looking at Simon and I jabbed him in the ribs

"Hey just kidding yes you can date my sister Simon" he said smiling

"And ow that hurt" he said looking at me. I just gave him an innocent looking smile.

"Oh no that innocent look isn't going to work" he said and I pouted

"No you hit me to often so..so" he looked up trying to think of something

"So you have to sleep on your own tonight and no more kisses for the rest of the day" I said

Simon just laughed. "I'll see you guys later" he said walking out

I waved bye to Simon and looked at Alec. "You really going to deny an injured small girl whose been through all this drama, no kisses at all?" I said putting on my most cute and innocent face

"Damn you" he said kissing me. I stood up straight again with my hands on my hips and smirked.

"I knew you would fold" I said
