Y/N POV

I had woken up to see Crutchie looking at me, I looked into his brown eyes and smiled.

"Hi" He said

"Hey" I said

"It is time to get up" He said with a smile

"Oh, um.....Hey Crutchie mind if stay here I don't feel good" I said

"Yeah, I will let Jack know. Get some rest." He said

"I will" I said

Crutchie walked out of the room and went with the rest of the guys to "sell". The truth was I just don't have the energy to sell because I haven't ate I about 2 weeks and if I do I throw it up. I know it sounds bad but it is only because I can't afford to buy food. Everyday these newsies from Richman have been talking my papes, I get maybe 15 sold and they take my other 45. I haven't told Jack because he has a lot on his plate with the strike. And not to sound rude but I think Jack likes Katherine. Katherine is so nice to me and the guys, she noticed that I was not eating. She knows everything and promised not to tell.

I closed my eyes and slowly fell asleep.

Katherine's POV

I was walking into Jacob's to talk to Jack and Crutches about Y/N I am super worried about her. She can't go much longer like this, she could die if she doesn't eat.

"Jack, Crutchie can I talk to you guys? It is really important" I said

Jack and Crutchie nodded and came over to me. We went over to an empty table.

"So I noticed Y/N isn't here, may I ask why? " I asked

"She said she was sick" Crutchie said with a sweet smile

"She's not sick.... " I said

"What do you mean" Jack asked

"Some newsies from Richman have been taking papers from Y/N and she has not been able to eat. She has enough to stay in the lodge. And when she does eat she throws it all up. I am worried this is not healthy, she could die from it. She told me not to tell but I felt like I needed to. " I had explained

Jack and Crutchie were both in shock, I really don't blame them though. Crutchie had gotten up and started limping over to the door.

"Crutchie, where are you going" Jack asked

"I am going to talk to Y/N" He said

And with that he walked out of the door.

Crutchie's POV

I was on my way see Y/N I am mad she didn't tell me about her not eating. When I got to the lodging house, I walked up stairs to see Y/N sleeping. I quietly walked over to her, I moved her shirt up just so I could see how thin she is. When I saw her I started crying. You can see her whole rib cage and there is no fat or anything. I started shaking Y/N awake, when she woke up she looked at me with a fake smile.

"Why" I asked

"Why what? " She asked

"I know, Katherine told me and Jack today. She is scared and I am scared as well. Why didn't you talk to me or Jack? " I asked

Y/N looked down, I put my hand on her chin and made her look at me.

"I was scared, they told me if I told anyone they would make sure I was on the streets. They said they would kill me, I did it so I could stay alive. I did want to leave you Crutchie. So all the money I made used it to stay in the logging house. I haven't eaten in a good two weeks. And because of this when I do eat I throw it all up. " Y/N said

I had wiped her fallen tears, and pulled her into a hug. I leaned down and kissed Y/N forehead.

"I will always be here for you, I love you so much. " I said

"I love you too Crutchie" She said

I pulled Y/N closer to me and we started cuddling. I had my arms wrapped around her waist and her head was on my chest.

"I am not leaving your side until you are healthy" I said

"Okay thanks" She said

"Who where the newsies that did this to you? " I asked

"It was skip, clumsy, Toby and Doge" Y/N had said

"I'll let Jack know" I said

"Okay" Y/N had said with a yawn

"Get some sleep" I said

She nodded, cuddled into my side. I watched as her eyes dropped and she was fast asleep. I closed my eyes and fell asleep.

Jack's POV

Me and Katherine walked into the lodging house. We walked up stairs and saw Crutchie and Y/N sleeping. Y/N face was puffy I know she had been crying. I walked over to Crutchie and shaked him till he woke up.

Crutchie looked up at me, he was super sleepy.

"Did she tell you who did this" I asked

"It was skip, clumsy, Tody and Doge" He had said

I nodded and walked away leaving them to sleep. I will talk to both of them tomorrow.

~Time Skip~

I had woken up early so I could talk to Y/N and Crutchie. I felt bad for walking them up and forcing them to meet me on the roof. When they go there, both of them had messy hair. All three of us had sat down on the ground.

"Okay Y/N you are Manhattan's only girl newsie and how long has that been happening with Richman? " Jack asked

"Um....... About a year. They never took it this far though, they would only beat me up and other things......." She explains

"Other things? What did they do? " Crutchie asked

"They um........ NEVER MIND ITS NOT IMPORTANT" She said getting up

Crutchie got up and pulled her into a hug, this also made it so she can't leave.

"What did they do" I asked in a more fern voice.

"THEY RAPED ME OKAY, TOLD ME I WAS WORTHLESS, AND A SLUT. And I believe them...... " Y/N said

Crutchie held her close and I stood there in shock.

"Y/N stay here with Crutchie, me, Albert, Jo-Jo, Race and Davey are going to Richman. " I said

Y/N POV

After Jack left I was crying in Crutchie's arms. I felt so stupid for not tell anyone, I am glad I have Crutchie. I felt my eyes get heavy and I feel asleep in Crutchie's arms feeling safe for the first time in a year.
