In order to make your character figuratively come alive, you'll need to know them better than they know themselves. The exercises in this book will make you think about your characters in ways you never have before.

Remember, you don't need to insert every detail from the following exercises into your book. In fact, you'll probably bore your reader if you do include all the details. But they're important to know so that you can insert enough to make your character well-rounded and believable.
