Chapter 10-Amanda

Before Steve's transformation.Year 1940.

The 30 - year-old nurse walked around the field,desperately searching for a certain girl.
Ah!There she is,Ms.Peggy Carter!
Excellent woman as well as fighter.
She walked up to her with a big smile on her face.
"Hello,Peggy!"
Peggy smiled and nodded.
All these man,who were going to serve their country made a straight line.
Although,they were all big and masculine,there was one,smaller than the others,skinnier.

He looked like a child.

Amanda kindly smiled at the skinny boy.
After a scene,that one of the soldiers caused,Peggy introduced her to the soldiers .

It was common for things like that to happen-soldiers flirting with woman that is.

"Fellas,This is Amanda.She is the nurse around here.There will be check-ups every single night." She said in her usual British accent strictly

They all nodded,and the young female just smiled.
Her hands in front of her and her fingers were tangled to each other.
Her brown hair were carefully breaded and her bright blue eyes seemed to shine.

She wore a usual black skirt and a white button shirt/t-shirt.

She did a check up,after that evening,to all of them seperatelly
After many inappropriate comments from certain soldiers,and  a lot of annoyed smiles,Steve's turn came.

"Your name?"The female asked,searching her files.

Just as Steve was about to answer the female exlaimed loudly

"Ah!Found it!"
She said with a smile,and turned to look at the male infront of her.

"Hello,please sit!"She said guestering towards a spare bed.

"Do I have to lay down?"The man asked,his voice barely audible.

Amanda,while searching through the files of the boy,saw something that surprised her,and caused her to smile a bit.

"You really want to serve your country,don't you?"

Steve just nodded shyly.

"Very well,Steven.Shall we start?"

The man nodded,as the girl placed the files next to her,and then the examination started...

The next  day

Today was the day!Today is the day of Steve's transformation.

He nervously walked with Peggy towards the machine.
As Peggy waited upstairs,Steve noticed a certain face of a woman

That certain woman,smirked and approached him.

"Didn't expect to see me here,Steven?"

He just shook his head negatively.

"Mr.Stark here,invented the machine you're sitting on,Steven.

I have to tell you a few things.

I admire you to the fullest.

You're sacrafising yourself and your health to fight.
And franckly,if I was a man,I wouldn't do what you're doing right now.
I highly doubt that many man would even think such a thing.

You're loyal,brave and kind.

And that's what makes you a man,Steven.
