i walked over to the bench.
and there i saw a silhouette, sitting.
arm raised.
the arm seemed to be...
dripping?
my eyes shot wide open.
he was inflicting harm— to himself.
so i dashed.
i run.
i grabbed the blade away from his hand.
his eyes were glistening.
"stop!"
"i don't like people getting hurt!" i exclaimed.
i threw the bloody blade into the bin.
"i'm already hurt." He stated.
he got up, ready to take his leave.
but I grabbed his wrist.
careful not to touch his fresh wounds.
this seemed like a sappy drama.
i pulled him in.
his petite body was engulfed in my warmth.
i rest my chin on his head.
he stayed for a little while.
he pulled away.
"meet me at the diner down there at nine?"
i screamed as his short legs ran farther away.
his hair bouncing with each small step.
and farther away, he took my heart.
