Chapter 4: The University doesn't look so bad after all

Start from the beginning

“Hey man.” Cassidy talked to the driver.

“What?” The man replied. He sounds so buff.

“Can you drop us by the University of Burgstone?”

“Yeah, sure.”

“Why there are no people traveling?”

“Because they’re scared.”

“Scared of what?” I interrupted.

He didn’t respond. He just kept on driving. I didn’t want to ask him again. I’m having Goosebumps. A few minutes later we are on a rocky road, the bus shook a few times and in a few seconds it went back to normal. I tried to take a look outside but it’s so dark and there are just trees. Harper looks so tired, too. She saw me looking at her and she just smiled.

“Guys Look!” Cassidy said while leaning onto the other side’s window. We moved to the other side to check it out and saw a castle. An entirely large castle only moon’s light is shining over it.

“Who’s castle is that, dude?” Cassidy asked the driver.

“It’s the University.” He replied.

We all looked at each other with surprise.

“Awesome!” I said with full of excitement.

“Splendid! We can get to meet a lot of royal guys!” Harper said.

“And Emo boys.” Cassidy shouted.

“What?” Harper looked so annoyed.

“Yeah, what about ‘Emo boys’?” I said.

Cassidy looked so speechless. “I mean…” He’s trailing off. “I mean I thought you like Emo boys.”

Harper and I looked annoyingly looked at each other. Then the driver laughed. “He likes Emo boys, perhaps.” I looked at Harper and we both burst out in laughter.

“Come on! You must be kidding me!” Cassidy said with full of embarrassment.

“You little boy! It’s okay to like Emo Boys!” I said and laughed again.

“Oh shut up!” he replied.

The bus took three curved roads and two bus stops which no one has seem to be waiting. We stopped by the last Bus stop after three more curves.

We hopped out of the bus. The land is dusty

“Thank you Senior!” Cassidy said. I found him sexy when he’s speaking Spanish. He got a real Spanish accent when he speak.

Now, we’re on the front of the a-supposed-to-be-castle-school. As we walked near the gates a spotlight burst out on us. Are we like prisoners or something? We all covered out eyes.

“You are here because?” A man with a Megaphone said. He is standing in a tower on the wall.

“This is University of Burgstone. Am I right?” I shouted.

“Yes. You are not allowed to enter the University’s Premises on this time.” He answered.

“No, we’re actually enrolled here by Mrs. Erik of Monte View’s Astronomical and Science Foundation.”

He talks to his walkie-talkie for a minute or two. “Okay. We will open the gate.”

“Thank you!”

A huge cranky sound has spread. This gate is so huge it must have been too rusty and hard to open. Then, a little part of it, a door perhaps opened.

“That was huge.” Cassidy said.

I controlled my laughter but I still giggled. I saw Harper laughed a little.

A man walked out the gate. He’s wearing a soldier’s suit. “Good evening.” He greeted us.

“Good evening, sir.” We all said in exactly same way. It is funny to hear.

“Yes. I am Mr. Kendrick Matthews the General Manager of the Security and Safety Section of the University. Who is Katherine Louise Erik?” He announced.

I walked out from the darkness carrying my purse. “I am.”

He was looked at me with surprise. “It can’t be.” He whispered.

“Excuse me?” I said even though I heard it. I looked at Harper and walked to her to hold her arm.

“Nothing Ms. Erik. It just you remind me of someone.” He said.

“Someone who?” I asked.

“Whoever that is let’s just say that it’s a person from the past. I just got your name as well as Ms. Harper Sedans and Mr. Cassidy Julio Peron.” He nodded at them both. “I’m very glad to meet you in this well, ten thirty in the evening. Please, come in and I’ll show you your rooms.”

He turned around and everybody took their stuff. He is about to go inside the gates when a man blocked the way. “Mr. Frescott!” he furiously shouted. I can hardly see his face due to the blackness of the shadow under the arc.

“You don’t really have to be mad Mr. Matthews.” The man laughed and walks through the light. When he appeared he is wearing a white basketball jersey and I can see those ripped biceps on his arms. He looks so handsome with tight smile on the lips and slightly shaved beard on the jaw.
